You ask a Walmart employee for help its like you better know your gang signs first and not be throwing the wrong ones. They truly make you feel like youre presence is not wanted. At Publix its completely different. They dont just point and say ovr dat ay Publix employees will actually put down what they are doing and walk you to the product your looking for and help you locate it on the shelf. I have had one take me to the front and help me get a product ordered that they didnt carry and another one help me get a case of a product that I have a hard time finding added to their next truck for me to pick up. Just had to pay for it. Hey, if I dont have to search all over town for it, yeah I will take a case and I will pay for it up front. And I have had their employees asking me how my day was as we are walking to find the product Im looking for. And it wasnt just a lets kill time question. I mean it was two guys and this guy come across like he actually cared and I was having a bad day with a lot going on. His parting words where hey man, keep your chin up, it gets better. And if course it did. But to have a stranger, an employee that didnt have to ask, much less empathize with my situation, and guys dont do much of that especially with a stranger, it actually helped to know someone else understood what I was going through. Just kind and personable in a chaotic world where everyone is out for #1. I dont think I have ever had a bad experience there.

I assist one of my clients who is disabled with her grocery shopping. She takes one of the mobile carts and I have a normal one. Almost every time we encounter someone re-stocking they see us but just keep on until I speak up and say excuse us. That more times than not has been met with a sour expression. Comment: Publix has a high standard for cleanliness and great foods. See their prepared and packaged brands and note also how the store is fresh smelling. The prepared foods are high quality.The downside is their pricing is higher vs. other stores though. I usually shop for the specials they advertize and cut my grocery costs that way. Shop other stores for lower cost.Guarantee Publix will not let you down on produce either. They really do have higher standards and their managers will listen to your concerns.

I have visited each of their stores in Pensacola. The one on Mobile hwy far out shines the others. Dont get me wrong. They are all clean, well stocked and even prices are great. But, I had to ask for the manager at this one. The store is always spotless. I have never seen anything on the floors and nothing on the shelves that should not be there. I am an obsessively clean person. I want the store where I shop to be clean. This location is my number one location. I live close to the one in Perdido, but I drive to the one on Mobile Hwy to shop.

They usually have five to seven different types of (seasonings/flavors) chicken wings on the hot bar on Saturday and Sunday. Upon arriving and ready to submit payment notice that the price quoted was not the price on the ticket. Returned to the bakery and the woman honored the price that was quoted for the item. It was actually probably about half of the actual price. Things like this is what brings customers back. Even though we have to pay a little bit more. Someones word in todays time means everything.Update: Went here on Christmas Eve 2022 and was totally impressed. Thats what I call customer service!Although their prices were higher than most grocery stores already, and prices continue to rise, I will still go there for most of my groceries. Comment: Always enjoy this Publix but the one thing I dont like about it and the reason it gets four stars over five is 9 out of 10 times that I go there and I ask the cashier to do something certain (ex; separate purchases due to multiple payment methods) they always rebuttal. Ive been in cashier for a very long time and if Im asked to do something a certain way by a customer, customer satisfaction is always first! Otherwise Id enjoy every visit to this Publix, and they normally have just about everything in stock.

Comment: I was trying to find some gluten-free graham crackers for my granddaughter because she is a Celiac. They had lots of gluten-free products but no graham crackers. They were most helpful and directing me to where I might find them. However they have their gluten-free products mixed in with all of the non gluten free products which makes it very difficult to locate products youre looking for. They should have one section with all the gluten-free items located right there.

Comment: Almost always a great experience. The main downside for me is when Im standing in the long line at the pharmacy and look over and see the front end cashiers standing at the end of their lanes looking for customers. Also a HUGE plus for those of us regulars at the pharmacy is having a repor with the pharmacy crew. I know people quit and positions need to be filled but leave the crew in place where possible. Going through your history or your personal issues every time its necessary is UNNECESSARY. I like knowing the crews name and them know mine when I walk up. The crew 3 months ago were much more personable than the ones now. I know theyre busy but excelling in the home town attention makes a difference. Also its close to impossible to get someone on the phone. I know they probably receive totally unnecessary calls but I dont call unless I really need them. Ive called for days before getting someone on the line. When you have no strength or are feeling so bad driving to the store to ask a question is not ideal. Ive quit using Walgreens and CVS due to poor service. I love my Publix pharmacy and hope some one in the company pays attention to these remarks.......they matter!

My husband got my cake in June and had the saying you see displayed on the picture. No way was this the end of it! Comment: Just a very good grocery store if you have the money and want a better selection. Plenty of premium items and usually some interesting sales. The cheese section is amazing and there are three I believe in the store. One for more common cheeses them the selection pictured of imports. Highly recommend the Scottish cheddar, and then in the deli.

Comment: This store is always clean. It is brightly lit and plenty of room in the aisles for two way traffic. The produce is outstanding, fresh and a good variety. The bakery produces fabulous cakes for special occasions or just a weeknight dessert. Love getting there on Saturday morning for special breakfast treats. The bear claws with almond filling are my favorite. Every employee will go the extra mile to help locate an item for you, and carry out service is offered every trip. Highly recommend this store to everyone.

Comment: Great experience every time I go there. The employees are genuinely happy, helpful and professional. Today I saw a young man being trained. The manager was watching to ensure everything was done correctly and smoothly. You could tell the employees really responded to her calm and gentle leadership. However, what was the most impressive was seeing cashier to baggers taking on the she same demeanor as her as they actively participated in the young mans training. I dont write a lot of reviews but felt this shopping experience deserved it.
