Publix is known for being a great place to work for and offers to their employees stock options which gives them extra incentive to shine and be proud of what they do regardless of their role. Sure, they may be a few pennies more expensive than the competition, but there is NO competition in regards to their service and QC standards. Ill pay the few extra pennies...!

Comment: Ok, I must say Im impressed. Sadly, I did not get the names of the manager nor the man who delivered my items. However, heres the story. I had had a rough day. I have a problem with my belly (similar to a hernia). I have trouble standing, especially without my truss, which I had forgotten in my haste.Anyway, I had rushed out to pickup just a couple items at an unnamed store. I got in line and the woman in front of me had an overflowing basket. Still, compared to the only other line with 5 people, it seemed the better choice. I was wrong. She was not putting her items on the conveyer. I changed lanes. Mistake. Something happened with a customer which caused the register to basically be shutdown while a manager was called. Another registered was opened and the cashier took people from the other line. What?!?!? I got out of line, went to my car and cried. I was in a lot of pain at this point.I proceeded to Publix where I again attempted my shopping. I bought my few items, including sushi which I had not planned but looked like a delicious treat after a rough day (the above story is just a piece) got to the register and realized I did not have my cards. Ugh! I ran home...no time to grab the truss, because I didnt want the sushi sitting out, and rushed back. There was some confusion at the register and then I finally got home. At this point I was exhausted. Every ounce of energy was GONE. I opened my bag and found this fancy sushi, with toppings and such, had spilled throughout the bag. Basically, it was inedible.I called the manager, hoping to just get my money refunded. He suggested I return to the store. I lost it. I just started crying hysterically on the phone. Everything from the day (actually my month) just got laid at the feet of this manager (poor guy). Honestly, I could not think rationally. Anyway, he sent a guy to DELIVER multiple boxes of sushi to me. When I expressed my surprise, and the fact that this was really not necessary, to the delivery guy, he said, yeah, my manager is like that. He wants customers to be happy.Heres the thing...this was not necessary. I live along. I was not going to eat multiple boxes of sushi, so honestly I felt a bit guilty for the waste. However, at that moment, the caring of another individual (actually, individuals, because the delivery guy was pretty dope too) meant so much. The manager identified that this customer at this moment needed something.Even more importantly, perhaps, the employee thought very highly of his employer. Employees dont think that way unless they are treated well. To sum up a VERY long story in a few words, they have won a customer who is new to the area.

It is a very difficult parking lot to get into and out of, the traffic lights take forever and the layout is horrendous. But if you can make it through that maze, the store itself is worth it. However there were a number of other deli workers just talking amongst themselves instead of being busy serving customers or helping their coworkers. It would have been more helpful if they would pause what they were doing and help out or stay behind the scenes. Otherwise it was another great experience at Publix.

Like most other Publix grocery stores it is clean, well stocked, and great selections especially in the produce and meat departments. You will find the expected Publix Pharmacy and floral department but dont expect to pop in and out for just a few items because it is a very, very busy Publix.

Comment: I came here for the garlic herb tofu sub, sounds like it would be vegan but it’s not. Make sure you get the whole wheat or flat bread and no Italian paste- it has whey in it. WHYYYY does Italian herbs have to have dairy in it?? That really must be where the flavor of the sub comes from cuz it’s pretty bland without it. Publix, can you please make an actual vegan sub without having to substitute out a bunch of ingredients?As far as grocery shopping goes, they have a decent about of vegan plant based products.

Comment: They are always friendly. This place gets busy during the day and the parking lot doesnt have the best layout. I recommend going first thing in the mornings when they open at 7 am. The pharmacy has a drive thru which is very convenient.

Comment: Stopped while on vacation needed snack and to gas up. The staff was friendly very helpful and ready to assist. We had odd request ask if they could wash our grapes. Without hesitation, they went above and beyond placed the clean grapes in a bowl and provided us with napkins for our trip. Who does this anymore. Excellent staff from customer service, produce dept to checkout, PUBLIX thats who.

Comment: Of the local Publixs in my area this is my least favorite. I find the staff to be very personable, but the loss of a star comes from the overall experience. The parking lot is awful between the slanted parking, one directional lots, bizarre in and outs, and the semi truck vendors that block lanes in the front of the store is cause for frustration.

Comment: This is my local Publix and I know most of the wonderful people who work there, most everyone is pleasant but theres always those employees that just seem like they dont want to be there (as with any other establishment) I love the Chasewood Publix and I love coupons and great deals!
