As a second generation Floridian born and raised in Polk county, I had to live elsewhere in order to appreciate the simple luxuries this grocery store offers. Sure, the common complaint has always been that Publix is overrated, but is it, really?! They dont make grocery stores like this anymore. Be grateful that this store still exists and the people who work there love what they do. I miss Florida for that.

Comment: This location is not near where I live, but I do pop in from time to time to get some lunch. Whether it is the subs or the hot food at the deli, the wait staff is always happy to see me and the food is always fresh and good. Sometimes I’ll just go through the produce department and pick up some their fresh fruits for lunch. You might not think of Publix as a convenience store, but it can be. Especially with their new self check out lines. I use Publix for lunch a lot and it usually takes less time than a fast food joint. Plus it is way healthier. The parking lot at this location is smaller. So if you live nearby, you might want to alter your shopping time when it is less busy. It’s not like they can grow more land.

It’s in beautiful College Park, has a safe, big parking lot for when you need to drive there and t is right next to a UPS store and to a CVS so you can easily kill three birds with one stone. Most of note; the staff is always the same; because nobody quits probably because it has awesome management and is a great place to work. Stanley in Cashier/Front services is one of the many extremely friendly, helpful and positive people that work there. I’m fortunate to stay in $1500.00 a night five star hotels with frequency and Stanley and this staff could teach them a thing or two!

Comment: I’ve bought multiple items from this Publix in the last month that are either already expired (cereal) or *should be recalled (Velveeta Cheese slices had a gritty texture and no flavor 😳).It’s great for a quick grab and go but they don’t offer the selection of other Publix locations in the area.*I don’t know if the cheese had an issue due to temperature from stocking or if it was a factory issue. Either way it ruined two meals for two people before we realized the cheese was the issue.

Comment: Favorite Publix I’ve ever been a loyal customer at. Every interaction I’ve had with employees at this Publix have been phenomenal, but today they blew me away. I ordered a pick up that included fried chicken, but the chicken was still cooking when I arrived. Brian and a gentleman at customer service whose name begins with M (I apologize for not knowing his full name, but he was working the morning of 3/26) were quick to find a solution that more than exceeded my expectations. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!

Comment: Love our little Publix most of the time, but not lunch time, and not after school time, or after work time, or when I want a specific ingredient even a common one bc it may be out of stock due to the limited shelf space, not when I want a more specilized item I have to go to a bigger Publix for, and not when they take my info to let me know when something comes in because in 7 years they are 10 for 10 on NEVER calling to let me know the item they ordered for me was in stock. But they are helpful in showing you where the thing you are looking for is supposed to be but isnt and the checkout staff is excellent!

Comment: Look, this is the smallest Publix in the area. So that means it doesn’t have everything that massive Hollianna has, or even a regular size store would have, but there’s a ton of people who have worked there for years and years and they’re all incredibly helpful (not out of the ordinary for Publix of course) but I’ve been going there for at least a decade and know loads of the employees, and they’ve done things above and beyond for me; one time I forgot my wallet (and didn’t yet have Apple Pay on my phone), and Gwen at checkout paid for my groceries herself (which of course I repaid later that day).I realize leaving a review for a supermarket is sorta silly but I have a silly love for this little neighborhood Publix.

Comment: Great! My wife dislocated her shoulder and really needed meds after we left the hospital. I called when we were minutes away. I did not have my insurance card with me and could not apply my rate. This wonderful man actually stayed a bit late, filled the script, and saved my wife some agonizing pain. He applied a discount that made it comfortable for me to pay for her meds. Great man, great store!

Comment: I love Publix as a rule, and I really like the folks T this store even though this is an older grocery.My big aggravation at this store is the credit card readers are not consistent, or as far as I know, functional at all with Apple Wallet. The checkers tell me they are supposed to work but they have never read my phone. I hate to see Publix let other, lessor grocers, provide a better checkout service.Perhaps some day I can give this store 5 stars.

Comment: My 28 year old daughter was very ill and I needed to get her prescriptions filled and was in a rush to get in and out of the store. The pharacist was helpful answering my questions about drug interactions and such but two of the employees, Steve, went above and beyond helping me find a few OTC items I needed and on the way out another wonderful guy helped me get my items into my vehicle. He could see how sick my daughter was and tried to cheer her up. He was very sincere and it showed us that he really cared. It brought a tear to my eyes. I wish now that Id have gotten his name but at the time all I was thinking about was getting my daughter home. It truly was an absolute pleasure shopping at my local Publix on Edgewater Drive, College Park location. To those that assisted me, THANK YOU VERY MUCH and please know that your kindness and helpfulness was highly appreciated!!!! 💖 👏

Comment: Just ordered deli platters from Publix for a party. Ordered 6 large platters to be picked up by 9:00a.m.. Not only were they ready on time but they were absolutlely perfect. Fresh soft bread, made exactly how I ordered them and the platters were very presentable. I just wanted to take the time to write a review to thank them and let them know how nice their service was. I will not hesitate to order again for my next party. : )
