Comment: As a life and health insurance broker here in crystal River (Amerilife.insure for more) I frequently buy snacks for my appointments and clients I visit from the bakery and it is top-notch for our area!!I enjoy Publix and so do my almost two hundred clients. One of the employees just asked me what he could do to help protect his teeth because they dont give any dental so for less than a single cleaning I got him on a policy with free cleanings, x-rays, extractions, cavities and fifty percent coinsurance on all other operations. He could have gone with the eighty percent coinsurance plan but its twice the money- if you just are looking to save money and once in a while get a cavity you dont need the eighty percent coinsurance version. The basic one is amazing, I have it and it cut my dental bills by a thousand dollars a year (two cleanings, x-rays, first cavity in my entire life and all of it covered - plus as a PPO Smiles on Citrus even takes it.I digress but yes! I am a fan of this Publix. Their employees are the best and the 20-something fit blonde cashier is stunningly gorgeous and super helpful. Shes a great employee and a nice person like every one there. So it really is a nice place to shop.

It had a big crack halfway thru the pie and it was totally fried outI tried to get some meat from the deli and their was one person trying to wait on about 5 people and he could not get to everyone so I moved on. I bought some fresh water melon that I also threw away. It tasted like water melon time. It was an off day for publix. The speciality meats and deli items were slim pickings as well as the Publix baked goods. Looked to me like someone had not been paying attention to detail and believe it or not I have been shopping at Publix since they had S&,H green stamps. Thats, a long time. Most people wont remember.

When there are tickets in the dispenser, the number you pull is way out of sequence with the marquee sign display. I get it, working with the public can be tough and its not for everyone. Cheer up, take some pride in your work, or move on!

You can order your subs and platters online that way you do not have to wait in line. And when you get to the hot case if they do not have the chicken you are looking for they can usually cook it for you and have it ready in 30 minutes. You can order your sliced meats and cheeses from the deli and they will slice them while you are shopping.

Comment: I actually went here because I was looking for flowers for a friend who had COVID. I wasnt impressed with the selection of arrangements in the cooler because they nicest and larger on had wilted 🥀 blooms. I did request someone come to the Floral Dept. and a person did come promptly and he actually got the Store Manager for me who was very apologetic about the condition of the arrangements. Evidently this Publix does not have anyone who services or has the training in this area. Everything turned out fine though. He directed me to a Florist only 5 minutes away. I really didnt consider it a big deal as Publix isnt a Florist so I cant ding them on it. Publix in general normally has very nice arrangements and plants but this store didnt. I have no doubt that the manager got on the phone to the Floral provider and requested they come asap to bring fresh arrangements. I like Publix and feel this was just a fluke.

Comment: I have been hearing about Publix for years and I know they have a huge following, but the staff wasnt that friendly and the customer service counter was outright rude and that surprised me. Still, I found some interesting sesame cookies I had never seen before and they were delicious, they had Annies dressing that I love and cant find elsewhere and the produce I got was really fresh.

Comment: What youve come to expect from a Publix store, friendly staff, clean and neat, professional and you dont have to constantly dodge the shelf stockers and pallets in the aisles like you do at the other 2 big stores in the area. That just comes with excellent planning with the store managers who stock the shelves at the slow times or at night when the store is closed ? Im not sure about that part ( which makes better sense) but however they are doing it works well here.
