Comment: Had a pre-wedding gathering for a family member at our home and ordered six huge platters of appetizer and desserts from Dixie Crossing Publix in Oakland Park. Fresh fruit platter, veggie platter, Boars Head cheese platter, Boars Head vertuoso platter, cookie platter and fresh fruit tart platter. All fresh and presented well and delicious! Everyone enjoyed it. A great way to save time and have someone else prepare it. Very satisfied!

Comment: I give this Publix four stars because it’s across the street from another Publix. The good thing about having to Publix is nearby. Is that when one Publix does it have a product I just go to the other Publix and usually that Publix has it in stock. This Publix has great parking, it’s never usually that crowded, their shelves are very well stocked And everyone there is very friendly. The only downfall about this public is sometimes their sub line takes a while to get through, even if it’s only one person in front of you.

Comment: Great store with amazing employees. From the parking lot on, an employee is always close ready to assist. This store has become my favorite one.The energy is different. Everyone always appears happy. No one ever frowns if I ask a.question or need help. The managers are always working on the floor. If there is a line, a manager opens a register. If there is a mess, Ive seen managers go grab a broom and mop. One time I lost a twenty dollar bill and I was six dollars short. If was upset about losing the money and not paying attention to register. I was thinking about what to take for bag to void out. As I began to pull out some items out, the cashier advised me it wasnt necessary. While I wasnt paying attention she had pulled out her own debit card and balanced off the transaction. She told me I could go home with everything and have a nice night and not to be upset.

Comment: I like Publix, but their prices are too high. I usually shop at all 3 major supermarkets and buy from each of them only items that are on sale. Publix often has BOGO sales or other good deals. They dont carry some items that I can only get elsewhere. Despite all that, I spend about 75% of my food budget there, simply because of their reputation as a good employer. To me, being a good corporate neighbor is important.

This is a standalone store, directly across the street from the one in the mall. Literally. This one attracts the residents that used to go to Albertsons. It’s so busy sometimes they run out of popular staples. Sometimes it’s milk, sometimes half-and-half, often the Publix branded soda in cans.

Comment: George Jenkins, Publix’ founder certainly had it right when he came up with the byline, “ Where Shopping is a Pleasure”. I think my first trip to Publix was when they opened their first Miami location in 1959, I was a bit younger then and mom rarely shopped anywhere else after that. I remember other chains at the time and they just weren’t as clean, bright and cheery. It’s still my go to store wherever I am in Florida. I don’t remember ever having been in a bad Publix & the Dixie/Commercial Blvd. store is a lovely example.

The prices vary each time as well, yet the order never changes. Josh is the only one who makes my husbands coffee right per the order & charges for the correct add-ins ordered. I was so hurt and frustrated but there was a silver lining in this dark cloud and his name is Tommy the store manager stepped in and saved the day! He made some calls and got a decorator to come in and make my cake (SHOUTOUT TO HER DIDNT GET HER NAME unfortunately) she also made some beautiful cupcakes to match her cake and they delivered them right to my door once complete!!!!! This location is just the best ever, I love my Publix! Fyi, the one across the street has a weird smell and terrible lighting. Awful crowded layout. The one on Andrews and Oakland has become bum central, and is way too ghetto (Armed security, what Publix even has to do that?!) with just terrible parking. The one at Five Points has terrible stocking issues and extremely unfriendly staff. Dixie Crossing is the absolute G.O.A.T.

Comment: Not sure why theres two publixs across from one another. But of the two I prefer this one! Friendly staff Wider variety surprisingly and bigger deli and vegetable section. Also the parking is a breeze to get in and out of compared to the one across the street.

However, for a slightly better shopping experience, I would recommend that you go to the Publix that is located directly across the street (Commercial Blvd.).Update 2/19/22Improvements have been made but still not a 5 star establishment. 😣

Comment: This Publix Super Market at Dixie crossing is a local favorite. Located with easy in and out entrances and exits. Comment: This Publix is amazing, I love coming here, I always have a great experience. The staff is wonderful, always as helpful as can be in every aspect, everyone Ive needed help from is so knowledgeable and well, from the front of the store all the way to the back wall, everyone and every department is so nice. This store is kept so clean and organized, probably the cleanest I have been to in south Florida.

Comment: Formerly a Safeway and before that an Albertsons and now a Publix. But, alas, it hasnt changed all that much through all of these ownerships. The aisles are still very much the same, as is the lighting and the checkout counters. However now that it is a Publix it is far better organized with far more enhanced and eye appealing displays in all departments. Indeed, the seafood looks so much fresher. The eyes of the fish are now bright and clear. When it was an Albertsons the fish eyes were often milky in appearance and not all that much better when it was Safeway.There is also a separate (Florida law requires separation) liquor store which is very well stock with a staff that is much more polite and friendly. I noted some of the prior Safeway employees in the super market but not in the liquor store. I can also understand why Publix wouldnt have wanted. They were just trashy in appearance as well as not being all that helpful or friendly.As it is so much improved over the last two ownerships,

Comment: Im new to the area so still unsure why we have 2 Publix literally across the street from the other. Maybe the newer one is a spite store? ;)Anyways, I personally prefer this one. Perk they have the liquor store, less busy, easier parking and most of all the employees are always very friendly and extremely helpful.

Comment: You would think that two Publix stores exactly opposite each other on East Commercial would sell exactly the same stuff, but you would be mistaken. The South side Publix sells stuff you cannot find on the shelves of the North side. Example: my wife fell for Jammie Dodgers (a Brit cookie) that can only be found in South Publix. Another: Its Your Birthday Cake ice cream (a Publix flavor). Only in South Publix. Sometimes the price deals are better in the South, too. Check the two out and comparison shop. UPDATE: North Publix must have read this review - they have Birthday Cake ice cream too, now :)

Comment: This is the best Publix that I have ever been to. I went midday and the level of service was top-notch. Even the floor manager was out with a keen eye making sure everyone was on point. The employees were also very courteous and friendly. A world of a difference versus the other Publix down south.

Comment: Great experience..my favorite time to shop however Is early to mid Sunday morning..low low traffic in the store..it is well organized and very friendly and clean..although the store seems smaller than the normal publix. The fruit selection a little smaller..I was able to purchase everything on my list and then some..I will be going back here even though its a bit out of my way

Comment: Excellent Service and Friendly service.Pharmacist is great and extremely helpful.Parking is great they are not in a mall it is a stand alone store, only shoppers will be parking in the lot.Publix Liquor Store is incorporated with this Publix which makes shopping for occasions easy.This Publix is EXCELLENT compared to the others in Broward County.2 THUMBS UP FOR SURE !!!

Comment: I normally dont get to go with the pandemic being what it is now, but I generally call often to the pharmacy and speak to Crystal. SHES THE BEST. ... ALWAYS PLEASANT and PROFESSIONAL with me and when I have MIGRAINE and Dont feel good THAT Is a MAJOR PLUS. SHES A KEEPER 😉.The store has a wide array of food choices and thats great. Sometimes my husband and I are not sure what we want and usually the fresh chicken baked or fried gets us every time.

This store seems to have a wider variety of products and brands, with the package store it makes a one stop shop for pleasant evening meal.

Comment: This Publix is set up a bit differently than most other Publix that I have been to so it is a bit hard to say if I like it better as it is a bit disorienting. You know how you get used to where things are in your home supermarket. Well, everything is someone different in this one! At any rate, this Publix is large, very clean and seemed to be very well stocked. The staff were very friendly and gladly custom cut some bread for me. Other than everything being in a different place than I am used to, it was a very nice Publix and I would shop here again. It was large enough that it had everything that I was looking for, the parking was convenient and everyone was friendly.

Comment: This is a very nice clean well-stocked new store. Love the Starbucks in the store .Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and mostly helpful. With one exception the assistant manager Samantha (short,over weight, tattooed )is very unprofessional and very rude, should never chastising interrupt employees while theyre helping customers.

Comment: The lady in the deli was very nice & helpful. Ed was also extremely nice. The cashier was very attentive. This was my first visit in this store since it was Albertsons. Publix has done a good job. The only thing is I have to get use to this stores setup & lay out. The store was very clean & they sell liquor & there is also a Starbucks inside the store.

Publix Employees and representatives are friendly helpful courteous and professional. And this store was converted from an Albertsons / Safeway into a beautiful Publix. Comment: I absolutely love this publix Im forever Greatful for Jennifer in the bakery Department I didnt do a 24hr notice For my sons birthday cake I let her know the situation and that it was my sons 1st birthday she agreed to have the cake Ready by 2pm she kept her word which meant the world to me this is best Publix. Different Publix Locations I went to they could not make my sons cake due to the short notice but store #1662 make it possible big thanks to Jennifer God Bless you Sweetheart Tyronn loved His cake😘
