Comment: I love this Publix location. It feels like a cozy neighborhood grocery store except its a fairly good size. I find the service to be amazing both at the bakery as well as the sandwich place and really any other place as well. The customer service department was excellent the one time I needed help and the cashiers and baggers are always amazing and super friendly.I really enjoy showing at this grocery store and I would say its probably my favorite grocery store to shop in the Lake Placid or Sebring area.

Comment: As an old guy recently taking over the grocery shopping duties, I appreciate the PUBLIX APP.It allows me to make a list in the app, then, when I get to the store, it puts most of the items in order by the aisle it is found in the store. So I start at aisle 1, for example, and go thru each aisle only once until my shopping is done. Not perfect, but close to it!Thanks, Publix!

The clam chowder soup was horrible grainy, no flavor... horribleOrdered their deep fried crunchy chicken special order 3 breastst 4 drumsticks 3 thighs.The order took me, I kid you not at least 35 min to write up. The young lady was very confused when I picked up at 5. Every piece of chicken was put in paper bags instead of a box as usually done. Needless to say, grease on bags now in my car....you could use some serious English speaking help in that dept.

On this visit came to pick up some produce and meat. My husband was curious as to how much water they ordered. A assistant was rather rude about how the cases were handed out. We politely point out we only wanted to see how many pallets they ordered. She then turned her back to us and continued talking to another employee. We usually have no problems with the staff. And we also took into consideration that is it a stressful time. But as we continued thru the store we found the stock person was also rude. No smile, no may I help you. Our confidence in this store has been weakened greatly. The prices are slightly higher then other stores but we are willing to over look this, if the staff was polite.5 years later-Have updated this review as there has been a positive improvement in staffing. Would gladly recommend this store now.

Comment: I only have one bad thing to say about the store. The parking lot is horrible. It would be quite easy to get into a small fender bender. Other than that the interior of the store is quite well laid out and very very clean. Everything in produce is fresh. The employees are quite helpful and will ask if you are finding everything that you need. I travel 30 minutes just to shop there.

Comment: My daughter took me to the store the other day and I really enjoyed going . The only problem I have is that Im not able to ride on the scooters due to issues with my shoulders ,so my daughter pushes me in my wheelchair. So in order to shop , I have to balance 2 baskets , 1 on each leg. We piled up what we could , my arms and legs were getting very tired and sore .I just wish there was a something that could attach onto peoples wheelchairs for shopping .The Main Problem I have is that after our groceries were bagged the check out girl asked if we needed a shopping cart and help . Well Duh!!! Thankfully the bagger helped us .Overall , the store itself was pretty clean ...

Comment: We come here for our subs before we go to Sebring for winter testing. We came down to photograph Magnus racing and the testing of their new Alpha. We havent been here for over two years b/c Covid. This time we got hot non-breaded wings, which I believe are the best, and stored them in the engine compartment of my Tundra. They stayed perfect there! :)

This is a bakery specific review.My husband works out of state and last minute was able to come home for his birthday. I called the bakery and said I had a very special request with just under 24 hours to get it done. I wanted his favorite “strawberry cake, filled with strawberries, top it with cream cheese frosting and add some chocolate on there somewhere.” My photos are a poor representation, but I had to show you something. Lol This was the freshest, most flavorful cake! We are dedicated Publix folks, but this was the best tasting cake we have had! Especially considering it was a last minute order, we were more than happy! Excellent job!

Everything is fresh, clean, well presented, and some of their sales absolutely blow my mind!!Need fresh greens for a last minute salad? Publix always has you covered with pre-made kits or pick your own ingredients. Want to toss a bit of meat i for a chef salad? The customer ahead of me was rude, but the lady behind the counter was definitely being passive aggressive in return. Determined to be kind and cheerful to the women working, I approached with a smile. The woman who took my order asked if I knew what I wanted yet. Very brisk and matter of fact. Nothing too wrong with that. But when I couldnt understand her because of the noise, her accent and the mask, I asked her if she could repeat what she said. She all but yelled at me and then tossed my choice at me. I was appalled. And very disappointed.

Store is well supplied and it has a wonderful bakery and fresh fish and meat which is cut to order. I have ordered the best osobuco and fabulous chateaubriand. The cakes baked for special occasions are delicious and very well priced. Their bakery department prepares the best palmiers, eclairs, strawberry gateaus and tarts in the area. Will not consider buying my goods anywhere but here.

Comment: This store was well organized It had All the aisles and everything so nice and clean, it was easy to find what I was looking for. It wasnt until check out that I felt a little rushed by the cashier. She was a little upset because it was her time to leave and there was no replacement for her. She seemed aggressive and just not friendly at all even though I try to apologize for keeping her a little longer. Thats the only reason why Im giving it a former stars instead of a 5.
