Nevermind that Publix is newer than new Publix and its a good 15 years old. Lol.For the rest of you. Welcome to our beach. This is where you get quality food at a reasonable price. Its a big-box regional chain that prides itself on exceptional service and cleanliness.Oh... You should absolutely try the chicken tender sub. Generally speaking store made sandwiches are not the best. Publix, hands down, makes the best sandwiches in town for the price.

Comment: Brenda went above and beyond to give me exceptional customer service, yesterday. I asked an employee named Brenda for help when I couldn’t find an item I needed for a recipe. We all know how that feels when you’re missing just one item. What a bummer! I had given up my search and continued shopping. Brenda found the item and went looking for me in the store! I was so happy I didn’t have to go to another store to find that item! I gave her a big hug and thanked her. It’s because of Publix employees like her that keeps me going to the same location on Fifth & Alton on Miami Beach, FL. Thank you!

I’m from New Jersey and we don’t have Publix there. last time I was in the south I tried the cheesecake in the almond cone from the bakery and it was to die for. So I called up and asked if they had any and she was gracious enough to stop what she was doing to prepare me two fresh ones. You don’t see that level of customer service often. Thanks to Sophia in the bakery for going above and beyond!

Comment: Generally, its top notch, & it SHOULD be for the prices they charge. 6 eggs $4. 1 loaf of bread over $3(Publix basic brand). Since I never believed in this particular inflation, apparently Publix does as it relates to their pricing. Like FPL, where else are you going to buy your food or power from? I advise anyone with transportation to spend a few bucks in gas and save at Walmart. Last week, for $4.00 I bought over a a dozen eggs and $1.50 for fresh baked bread for sandwiches. Its a no brainer. Like I said service is usually great but I got 2 employees in 1 visit who basically pretended they didnt speak English so they didnt have to answer a question when I wanted to buy FAGE yogurt(sometimes theres some in the back) and caution tape on only 3 freezer doors of the 8 there and I wanted to buy ice cream so I asked him and he said broke when I asked is there a reason there is caution-tape on 3 of the 8 doors since they are all connected? Broke is what I got in response. So, I gave up. I really DID NOT need the ice cream anyways but it is not the Publix standard. The increase after the post COVID increase is gouging, which only serves their shareholders. As a shopper on day 1 of their opening and a 20 year neighbor it is shameful.

The managers are attentive, if they notice theres a long line they do not hesitate to direct a cashier to reopen the register regardless of weather theyve yet gone to break-we all know that business dictates.Early am staff talk to each other as if theyre on their front porch: use profanity air grievances within earshot of customer.Accost customer and address irritatedly, bc it is a noisy background, I get it. But when you gonna mutter and cuss under your breath at the customer, I dont care what time it is- just because a team lead( present on the floor. Not only is it dirty, the elevators rarely work 100% and now, in order to exit the parking lot you have to provide a copy of a receipt from any one of the businesses in that building. I guess theyre trying to prevent people from just parking in there and walking elsewhere. The fact is is that all somebody has to do is go in and buy gum at one of the stores and they get a receipt. Really dumb and Ive decided to go to Publix about 16 blocks north

Comment: This store was or should have been the best of the best store In the area In my humble opinion when they had a young Spanish intelligent lady as the Deli Manager who worked that Deli and cooked food to perfection. But I guess she was so good they transfered her. This store is unique but they need to enhance the training and improve attitude to positive. Management is good and very helpful and so is stock people. Just get the Deli attitudes to positive bar and they will be 100again. Keep it up or Bring back intelligent managers like that Spanish lady manager of the Deli. She was the Best of Best of the Best. I give them 85% out of a 100

I noticed many employees working productively and ready to help any customers in need of assistance. Checkout seems to move at a higher than normal rate than the usual trip to your local grocery store. I did notice a few elevators are currently out of service and waiting for maintenance; this did not change my rating because the establishment is following safety protocol and communicating with proper signage. Dont forget to get your parking validated! Literally had a customer service representative standing in middle of the exit blocking the automatic door and when I walked through she tells me FU, you didn t thank me for holding the door! I was astounded Ive been to this store 300 times. Truth is she was blocking an automatic door then insulting customers for not thanking her. Just because she didnt want to work at the counter and was faking assistance to customers where it was not needed. Please do not give jobs to people who will not stick to their work commitments and adhere to the corporate standards they are paid for. It is a growing decline of customer service standards across the Brickell and Lil Havana Publix stores also. Kroger please come into FL and save us.

Comment: Surprisingly not depressing :)Has an awesome selection! Clean. A little pricey but what do you expect for its location. The workers were friendly and competent and helpful.Ive shopped there twice now.Knocked a star off because the stairwell smells like pee and the shopping carts wouldnt go to the garage so we had to push and grind and almost didnt make it out of the elevator with all our heavy groceries.

Comment: Girl at customer very helpful !!12/30/19I’m shopping at Publix and have to use the bathroom- it just so happens that at this exact time the man comes in to clean it !!! He knows I’m standing there and is i think for the first time I’m a week mopping as he sees me there standing for the last 30 minutes !!I forgot customers are last .. I come into this Publix almost everyday and the bathrooms are never clean but I bring my own spray however today he’s doing the works !!If thr have a sheet the bathroom should never get dirty anyways ... it’s obvious they don’t follow the sheets’ time10-10-2020⭐️ I guess this is the “new normal” customer service lines at Publix are horrendously long !!!!Where is the help ?Meanwhile you have a lady standing at the door telling people “ cover your face” and she’s getting paid for what!! What’s wrong with this world 🌎 ?Social Distance practice at a minimum!

Comment: My husband and I rode our bikes here on my birthday 6/9/20 from Hotel Victor. We got lost but we’re able to find it with help on the streets. We had to wear a mask inside. But the store was nice. We came for fresh fruit, a pack of water, sandwich (ultimate publix sub) combo from the deli, and a slice of Funfetti cake from the bakery!

Comment: After getting used to shopping at Waitrose supermarkets in England, it is a bit of a downgrade shopping at Publix. Yes, this is a nice friendly service, but at times groceries are out of stock here. Waitrose is more careful about that. Maybe my expectations are a bit high... not sure. But over all it is a pleasant place to get groceries. It helps that there is actually parking here for Miami Beach.

Comment: Love this store. Would be five stars but lately theres been salesmen harrassing visitors outside the complex during the day and I tend to shop here quite frequently. I dont want to be an a**hole and ignore them because its for a good cause. And its a different pair of salesmen almost everytime! So, Ive had to say sorry not interested at least 5 times a week. Im an introvert and my patience has been exhausted. Nowadays, Ive been avoiding the place unless Ive something price worthy to retrieve. Ive no choice but to endure. Again... not to sound like an a**hole but, I hope these salesmen go somewhere else. God bless them tho.
