The store managers are willing to help bag groceries, as well as help you out to your car! The employees are friendly and helpful. Pharmacy staff are all friendly, and when they say your meds will be filled, its usually filled before they say it will!! Definitely a Publix George Jenkins would be proud of! Excellent job Publix!

Comment: I like going to Publix Supermarkets. Unlike Walmart that the shelves often look like a bomb has gone off due to a super half off deal on handbags, Publix is neat and tidy. I appreciate looking at produce that is neatly organized and looks like it is properly cared for.Generally speaking I think the quality in the meat department at Publix far surpasses the much lower quality at Walmart.Since I dont like going to multiple stores to buy groceries I tend to do most shopping at Publix. The meat and produce at Publix alone justifies this.Of course there is a tradeoff. Publix is not the cheapest. I consider them midrange price wise so more expensive than Walmart and cheaper than Fresh Market (a Publix upscale store), or Harris Teeter.

They, too, have chosen to get rid of cashiers for self check out, and now you have to wait for the one register if you dont want to work for free. We begrudgingly accepted this at those big box stores, that offer the lowest pricing and never really had good customer service in the first place. I can not justify paying Publix prices for no service. Thats just crazy! So what made Publix special is gone and thats a tragedy.

Comment: I havent been back to the deli since my horrible experience with them so cannot comment on whether that department has gotten any better, but the rest of the store certainly has. The staff is much more pleasant to speak with. People are actually smiling, not walking around like theyre mad at the world anymore. Its definitely a nice change. The produce employees, cashiers/customer service, and meat dept. employees Ive spoken with were so friendly and very helpful. What a nice change.My uncle Ralph Key started his first job with Publix here in Polk County as a teenager and retired with Publix down in Hollywood, FL first as a store manager, and then stepped down to produce manager. He was always my version of what I judged the Publix standard by. He was a honorable and kind hearted man. He was a great man and exuded Publix. He was so proud to be apart of the company even until his passing. My entire family have never shopped any place else.Its so nice to see the welcoming atmosphere back to the Imperial Lakes location that truly makes it a pleasure to shop for groceries.

I give 4 stars because I went to the pharmacy for a covid-19 shot and ask the pharmacist if I could have the shot in my right arm because Im left handed & been told it will make your arm sore, he said no left side, give me the shot put a bandage on my arm and walked away saying nothing. I found out later that other places will give you a choice of which arm you want. I understand this is keeping them very busy and its not what they signed up for, Im sorry for that. I know Covid-19 has turn everyones life upside down but being rude to others is not going to help anyone or make your day any better.

At other Publix, inside city limits there is much more consistent mask wearing. I wont return to this location until pandemic is over or Polk County Commissioners require use of masks.

Comment: Out of all the departments the only area I ever have a problam with is their Pharmacy. Their baggers leave something to be desired as well, however; my chief complain is with the ineptitude of the pharmacy. There is always a wait no matter what time of day I could go to pick up meds. They are unsympathetic to a refill that may be expiring that day and you will need your dose first thing the next morning. Its not a lot but enough to make the little things all add up.

Comment: Last winter, this store carried a particular style of Hofmanns hot dog. They have stopped carrying it this winter. I inquired about it at the meatcase with a Publix employee. He said that if the product was still made, I could stop at the service desk and they could order it for me. I did just that and they cheerfully ordered it for me. I was truly impressed. Comment: The women in the bakery were incredibly helpful. I only have 24 hours until my daughters baby shower and my cake from another company fell through. I walked in and in less than 5 minutes had a great cake selection that will be ready in the morning. The store is always very clean, which I appreciate. The cashiers are friendly, and the baggers offer to carry my groceries to my car. I love this Publix.

It had to be tough on each employee(given the fact they all had their own problems to deal with) but they still gave it all by being so patient, considerate and hard working before and after the hurricane.❤

Comment: Always a pleasure. I did the cost comparison between Publix & Walmart and Publix won! So much better than Walmart and this Publix store is always friendly and helpful. Ive been shopping here for 5+ years and never a bad experience. Ive had a few upsets with the Pharmacy but nothing that would make me stop shopping here. Job well done!!
