Comment: As of 2023, it’s a brand new store with a wide variety of fresh foods. They even sell fishing rods in the back and have swim gear up front. Store was clean. Staff is friendly. The bakery was very slow though. Could just have been the time we were in though. Large parking lot. As of October there was construction out front repairing the road so when there is traffic it can be tricky turning in to the lot and pulling out. Be cautious.

The bakery manager was able to make me 20 strawberries covered chocolate on the spot without hesitation for my daughters last-minute 3rd birthday party. The staff were very helpful and polite. Pauline, my cashier, informed me that the strawberries I purchased were Buy One Get One and hooked me up! This type of service is ABOVE and BEYOND any other store - by FAR. If I hadnt purchased them myself I would have thought they came from a small pastry shop. Everything was fresh. Light crispy layers. Sweet fruit centers. The donuts were light and tasty. Our hotel offered a free breakfast included with our room but we passed on it. We are having more pastries for Publux for breakfast instead! If you travel thru the Keys about this super market is abt the half way mark. You have to stop here for your daily supplies and the bakery shop! Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the pastries. You will not be disappointed! Some of the best I ever had. 😋

Small enough to get through the store efficiently and big enough to get everything you need when staying here as a local or on vacation, from Charcoal to sunscreen and pool toys. Customer service was friendly and the checker was new but she was working hard to learn what her coach was teaching. Bagger offered to carry out my cart, always love that about this chain. If you put Publix and Chick-fil-A together people would be so kind and sweet the world might actually be a better place for everyone 🌞.

Comment: Hats Off to Marie and all the Deli folks in Islamorada, Theater of the Sea always does a real sit down meal for the employees who work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day. these are rather large orders and complicated, but they always come thru with having everything we order ready well in advance and in beautiful shape and this time due to a crisis situation, even delivered and helped to off load all the food. Everyone here is always blown away by the quality and flavor. Thank you again...we will be back next year!

Comment: Clean, Friendly, Organized, and Convenient. Publix is a wonderful place to shop any day of the week and any time of the day. The employees have smiles on their faces and are helpful and willing to assist. My only suggestion would be to move the Hand Sanitizer Wipes to be placed NEXT to the carts outside, so they can be used to wipe them off before you enter the store. At this point they are located on the left side of the door when you walk into the store.

In my years of shopping my island Publix, only once did I ever experience negativity from a new employee bagging my groceries. Let me just say this, he made it obvious he wasn’t a team player and had no intention of representing my Publix in a good light. Comment: I usually love Publix stores and their products, but today I was a bit disappointed by the quality of food I bought from this specific branch. $ 70.00 worth of sushi 🍣 that looked fine from the outside till we tried it, it was obviously old (either from the day before or the morning), especially the crunchy shrimp and spicy tiger roll.Overall, the store was clean and well organized, and the employees were very professional and well mannered.Furthermore, the placement of the deli is a bit crowded since its in the middle of a busy area.

Comment: I lived in Key West for a short time and when I would travel back to Central Florida I always stopped at this Publix because it was the half way point home. The restroom was always very clean, the store was well stocked and I especially enjoyed the subway sandwiches. Part of the parking lot is shaded and I would pull around to the shade, eat my subway and relax before I finished my drive home. Excellent service, I was never disappointed when I shopped there.

Comment: Nice little grocery store in the upper keys.Its about half the size of a Kroger/Tom Thumb/etc in a larger city.Good selection of foods and items you may want being close to the ocean.Decent prices (a little more than the rest of the US, but you are in The Keys).Also a great place to buy fishing bait. Just head toward the freezer section in the back. Theres frozen shrimp and other bait fish in small packages. Let it sit outside for a bit and it will thaw fairly quickly.

Comment: I was greeted by an employee as soon as walked into the store. I waited in line for a sub about 10 min. There were 2 sandwich makers which made it much faster. The guy before me ordered 4 whole subs so it took a little longer. They had 2 different subs on sale so I understood that there was a little delay. My chicken tender sub was fresh and delicious. The employees were good and worked as fast as they could. It was a good experience today at Publix!

Comment: Opened May 2018, just after our visit to Islamorada. This year, we shopped here multiple times. Very clean, organized, adequate employees throughout the store, all employees friendly and helpful.We inquired about a shoppers card or reward card and customer service said they do not have such a program. On our second or third visit, we noticed there is either an app or email program you can sign up for to receive coupons. Wish customer service had informed us and we could have signed up during our visit. Will do this next time we are down for a visit.Also, noticed a couple of items were very close to or just beyond the expiration date. I think eggs and pre-cooked sausage were two we noticed. One was dated with a sell by the day prior to our visit.That said, we have noticed this on occasion at other stores we frequent back home. We visited Publix during the off season after most of the snowbirds left, so it is possible the store simply does not have the turnover of stock as quickly. This did not deter us from shopping there, as we visited at least two more times during our 10-day stay.This store is conveniently located near where we stayed and we appreciated having such a nice store much closer than Winn Dixie and with better prices than other places we visited last year.If we are back in the Keys in 2020, well be shopping here again!

Comment: Probably the most beautiful Publix store Ive ever seen. The outside makes you believe they are townhomes at first. The inside is just as nice with a clean and well lit atmosphere. The items are clearly marked and the prices are reasonable. Its nice that they built one nearby to make it easier to go grocery shopping instead of having to travel nearly 25 minutes in either direction to the next closest grocery store. The parking is plenty and the access to the store is easy as well.

Comment: Brand new market is smaller than Marathons, and by a fair amount, but seems better thought out. Smooth shopping flow with a pretty good selection for its size. Might be tight quarters though when the winter hordes arrive all seeking beer & deli at the same time. Very pleasant, impressively trained staff make for a nice visit.

Comment: Not only was I the first customer to enter this Publix, I am the first person to leave a review. I arrived at 1:45 AM to make sure I was first. The employees were all very nice, and the store manager as well. She came out at about 4:30 AM and gave me and my wife a couple donuts and informed me that I could indeed cut the ribbon to open the store. It is a smaller Publix due to it being located in Islamorada with limited land, but a very nice one.
