The Publix Deli is so awesome! Their fried chicken is amazing and is such a treat when I want a break from home cooking. Their store never disappointed me with their cleanliness and Southern down-home atmosphere! I highly recommend that everyone visit Publix in Middleburg to enjoy a new adventure in shopping!

Comment: I drive from Starke specifically to this Publix because its the nearest one to my family and is easier to hit up on my way home from my long treks from Starke to Jacksonville or Orange Park. Ive been coming here consistently for over 5 years. This Publix is where most items that enter my home come from.The pharmacy: By far has the cheapest options you will find for prescriptions. I have Had the mack-daddy of insurance and I have been self-pay and yet publix seems to consistently win out any grocery store or pharmacy pricing comparatively. They even offer many prescriptions for free regardless of insurance, so all my scripts go here. At some point over the years I stopped calling around to get the cheapest pricing because Publix just won out so consistently over the span of a decade I just quit bothering. I will say that with the closing of some of the local pharmacies in the city I live in (Starke Winn-Dixie closed their pharmacy recently so we have CVS or Walgreens), I have seen an uptick of prescriptions in the last 3 months at this Publix. At 8 months pregnant, standing in line to pick mine up is stressing me out becuase there is now usually a line regardless of the time of day and standing is hard.The Bakery: I ordered my wedding cake from them in March 2021; It was phenomenal. I ordered my baby shower cupcakes Nov 2023. I find they consistently make things look and taste good on time.The Deli/Hot Food Catering: I ordered a LOT of food for my babyshower Nov 2023. We were told that we DONT pay until we pick it up. It was a bit of drive (20 mins) from our venue and they didnt have a delivery service. I knew it was more food than the average delivery driver may even fit inside a standard car without damage to the food or car in a timely manner anyways. I had a guest leave just before the shower to pick up the food so the first thing we would do is eat and no one would miss much of anything. This plan failed entirely because upon their arrival they found out that Publix hadnt prepared ANY of the fried chicken we had ordered. It took them over an hour to get it together. Furthermore, when they went to pay, they tried to charge a different and MUCH more expensive price for the food (were talking nearly $100 more). Luckily, I had given her the quote I recieved from when I made my order placement (which only happened 1.5 weeks before). Then, it took a while to load the food into my friends truck and then deliver it to the party 20 mins away. I could have had it delivered that morning, but for the price I preferred offering at LEAST one hot item on the menu. The trays were pretty and the food was good, but it was verrrry late and unprofessional of the staff to completely forget about my orded. Was very disappointed with the catering services and would be hesitant to order hot foods with them again.The Grocery: By far the largest and widest selection of well-displayed fresh produce you will see in a grocery store. They offer more of the hippie-dippie foods (organic, free-range, grass-fed, ect...) than any other grocery store I can walk into within an hour of my home. I come to them consistently because the overall quality of the food they provide is a step above the Winn-Dixie and the new Aldis in my area. I rarely come across rotten produce, the displays are better kept, they still check you out AND bag your groceries, offer paper AND plastic, will help you to your car, have more than 2 disabled shopping carts (and they arent dead or wet from sitting in the rain), and they have a clean bathroom with multiple stalls. I have had multiple friends that worked at Publix and I know they also pay better and have more employee benefits than many other grocery stores from the checkout staff to the back of house workers.Overall, I feel good about shopping here and I have no intention of turning away any time soon.

Comment: This Publix is uniquely set-up, I found tables in the deli area, the Gainesville Florida Publix do not have those. I am fine with that, it was just different. Cashiers are friendly and I always engage in conversation because I am always on 5he search for new employees. I manage a large medical practice. I often work late so I will run in 30 minutes before Publix closes and grab a couple items for the next day. The deli ALWAYS up to last minute will slice my Board Head Port London Broil Roast beef without making me feel like I am bothering them closing. Thank you all the deli worked and cashiers for ALWAYS Accommodating me minutes before closing!

Comment: My wife and I have always been a fan of publix, but we noticed at this location many of the fresh items were very close the the expiration date. Nothing expired,, just really close. For example, a bag of stir fry vegetables with only a couple of days from expiration and dairy items within a week of expiring, where normaly would be a month out. I know things have changed with distribution and supply chain, but we consider Publix a higher end store and never had to worry about that in the past. Just make sure you check the expiration dates!

Comment: High quality shopping somewhat above average prices but you pay for what you get. Very large selection of products. Staff are extremely friendly go out of their way to greet you and see if you need assistance with anything. Well worth it if your in the area. Lots of gluten free items too.

Comment: Well organized, with a pleasant atmosphere. They are not always fully stocked for items I need, especially when items are bogo. The produce is fresh and the sushi is good although there isnt a wide variety on selection. Everything is clean, employees are always nice and willing to help. Morning times is the best time to shop, but at lunch time it starts to get crowded and stays crowded for the rest of the day up until 30 minutes before closing. Overall this is a good place to get groceries.

Comment: My no one place to shop we love you Publix you have the most outstanding employees ever always there to help .I met the nicest man ever so full of education and knowledge about his meat department he talk with me about what was I thanking of serving for my Christmas dinner I Havant seen some family members that was coming in yrs I was very nervous about making this dinner be the most remember dinner of times for my long past Christmas dinner as I a porch the gentleman I was chocked up what to say . I told him about my special day and why it was so important to me and I hated to bother him .he kindly said no worries and your not bother me we are always here for are publix family. He was a gift from heaven sent to me that day he fix me up with the best ideals on my meats i would serve that day even some of his own recipes he was a joy and help made my Christmas with my family come true .and the best meal I could ever dream of .my sister still calls me now and talks about that dinner and when we could do this all together real soon again . thanks Publix and thank you & thank you Mr.Cantrell for making a old girl. Comment: Always a fantastic shopping experience. Warm welcoming staff members in every single department of the store. Clean and very well kept and organized. There is always someone to offer assistance and ask if they can be of any help. Fresh beautifully displayed produce. Amazing fresh bakery items. Meat, Seafood, Deli.. all great. I have never had a negative experience at this or any Publix. The front end are always there to make the end of the shopping and getting to the car as cheerful and hassle free as possible. I really have amazing things to say about the younger staff.. High school age... They are pleasantly social in a mature way and are very responsible doing their job.Bravo Publix Middleburg!

Comment: I had a weird coupon that didnt mix with my EBT for whatever reason, and the manager came and helped me seperate my stuff in a way where I could use my coupon AND EBT for the rest of my groceries. Im pregnant, so almost cried when I thought I couldnt use the coupon. 😂 He made my day by making it work.

Comment: We stop here on occasion to get fried chicken or a loaf of sourdough, white mountain or Italian bread for sandwiches. For those we like the tuna, ham, chicken or some other chopped meat in the deli. We have never been treated rudely or had issues in finding wat we are after. We have gone in for a certain item{s} and seen their BOGO and of course had to partake lol. But for as the store itself, clean and friendly workers and helpful as I need to use an electric cart due to a back injury and can not walk very far. So stuck for an idea for supper, I recommend stopping i and hitting up the deli for ideas, they will be happy to help.

Comment: I came in with my teenagers to shop. Stopped by the deli to order a couple of subs for lunch. They all stepped up and placed their order. But my daughter who usually struggles to make a decision and gets upset easily when she feels rushed was taking a bit longer to decide. My daughter apologized several times for taking so long. For us this is normal and we encourage her to figure it out for herself as she is on the spectrum but Mrs Sandy was so sweet and so patient with her as she made her decision and told her what she wanted on her sub. I was so thankful for this interaction with her and feel we need more people in this world with her kinda patience and understanding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for today Mrs Sandy!

Comment: I love my publix super market in middleburg someone is always stocking .dont look like you cant find something they always ask if they can help you I have to use the riding cart and more times than not they come out with you and help put your grocery in your car and they most always greet you a few years back I had a few issues with Publix and Im a black person so you know what I mean it is no way no how like that anymore when I was working I went to Publix everyday but with the pandemic and Im not working I only go twice a week but I must say Publix only has one store in this area thats in competition with them and right now Publix is winning

Comment: What more can you say about Publix other than its Publix. You pay 10 to $0.15 more per product however the customer service is outstanding the staff is friendly the checkout lines are fast. Theres no dirt in the store I dont have to worry about contaminated food and the deli is quick as long as youre not there for the 1 p.m. lunch rush hour. 95% of time a great experience and worth it. I wouldnt shop anywhere else.

I think her name was Jessica came out to help me. We tried our best to no avail. Than a manager came out to try and help but NO luck. Comment: Clean store and They have lots of extras such as you can weigh yourself they have scales in there they also have a coin machine where you can cash in your change they also have a Western Union which I use quite often overall its just a nice clean store they usually are well stocked they have a great Bakery and Deli lots of things that you cant find in other stores and friendly people
