Comment: No problems with the store but this is a very poorly planned parking lot. If you pull up in front of some of the stores in the shopping center, the adjourning road where cards enter from the East is at an angle where you cant see the cars when youre trying to back up. Other areas of the parking lot are poorly planned also. I know longer go to this store in particular because of that. If youre going to go to this store try to park as close to Newberry Road as you can for a safer experience.

Comment: We are faithful Publix customers, and this was our first time shopping in this particular Publix. My husband was the first to start saying how nice everything was and how different it was from the Publix that we usually shop at in Ocala. There were open areas, showcasing ice cream, produce, dairy, so open, and inviting. We needed help finding pesto, and a man, putting up produce, took me right to the spot where the pesto was located. Friendly staff, clean store, and an excellent variety of food products. There was one distraction in the store. While ordering sandwich meat at the deli, there were two other deli employees talking so loudly to each other, that the employee helping me could not hear me, and I had to yell my order to her, which did not help the fact that I had a headache. She apologized for the noise and I thanked her.

Comment: Ive seen many posters here bash this store. The layout. The layout is common for this type of store and its age. It was commonplace back in the day. It works for this store. appearance. This store has the appearance package that was typical and still is around for a store from the late 70s or 80s. What works, works. What matters is its staff, its customer service, its cleanliness. It may not be a woke store but it is a relevant store that deserves to stay preserved for its ability to remain relevant and still offer the same great Publix experience people want. End.

Comment: I stopped by this PUBLIX location on a rainy night heading down to Orlando. It was around 9 P.M when the thick rain, and wind gusts forced me to become sidelined for a bit. I was relieved that this location stayed open until 10 PM with high hopes that the deli would still be making their tasty trademark sandwiches at this hour, but more-so whoever was making it would emit good vibes while doing so. I had run into more disgruntled, grumpy, and what appeared as overall, poor service over the last couple of days spent traveling. I had shopped a PUBLIX outside of Charleston the night before, ordering what was about to be the same pub-sub two nights in a row. Talking about humans being creatures of habit! I encountered Cynthia behind the counter, she was masked up, but I could tell she was ready to help cover down on my order. I told her how the lady who held the same position at the other store took care of me, and went the extra mile so essentially the challenge to keep that status quo was on! She was extremely willing to cater to my requests regarding my custom built sub-pub and kept me smiling all the while. I continued to sing her high praises while she worked on my sandwich. She is great at multitasking and knows how to communicate with the customers who come back there to order.. I told her I would stop by customer care and also pass on the high marks and how valuable she was to that department on the way out. The two young women at customer care nodded in agreement while telling me thank you, and that they will pass on the kudos to her. Way to go Cynthia, keep being the rock-star employee that you are!

When I was checking out, I also realized my car died and when I went in to ask her to use a phone to call for help, she actually jump started my car for me. This is now my favorite Publix! Comment: Had a problem with a cashier not wanting to honor publix policy about if item ring up wrong its free. She just changed the price and said to me there its changed on energy drink they had on clearance. Store clean inside. This happened around march of 2021.

Comment: I like this Publix Store. It’s rarely busy, always stocked, easy to navigate, quick checkout, and it’s within close proximity to other retail stores. The only downfall is hefty prices on some items but that’s expected in Florida.

Comment: I was in Gainesville on a job. I am a traveling technician. This adress on 76th was amazingly clean and the staff well dressed and professional. I prefer to eat well, so I take grocer items back to my hotel when I travel. Being dirty myself, I was personally embarrassed to be in this place it was so clean. Floors and counters were spotless. When I walked by the meat department, no foul scents. Wish we had Publix in WA state!

Comment: Shopping at Publix is indeed always a pleasure. This store is obviously older, indicated by the facade and the general feel of the interior. That doesnt take away much from the experience. I will note that my hometown of St. Pete has somewhere around 5 or 6 stores (maybe more), and theyre all arranged somewhat similarly. Given the age of this location, Im assuming they had to arrange things differently from many other stores Ive seen in order to fit everything in, particularly contrasted with my home stores. Even so, everything was immaculate and the staff were amazing. I cant imagine what life would be like in a part of the Country where Publix does not exist!

Comment: This Publix has the freshest produce in Gainesville. Their selection isnt as abundant as some of the larger stores in town--I was told due to being smaller, but I can always find what I need. The workers there are also very friendly and helpful and go above and beyond for their customers.

Comment: Great service! This is my Publix and we visit at least weekly. It can get really crowded on the weekend like every grocery store. It would be perfect if there were a few more crafty beers on the beer aisle.
