The check out staff are always very polite And efficient and welcoming . However I decided to treat my elderly parents caregivers to Publix cards for Christmas . I purchased more than five which put me in the you have to see the manager category . He then checked my I D which I very much appreciate but then wanted to know who were these cards being purchased for and if I was going to personally deliver them. I explained all of this but as a customer of this store for more than a half of a centuryIt just didn’t set very well . Of course he explained that fraud preyed on elderly ladies like me and he was protecting me . Thank you for that Mr. Manager but you sure took the joy out of my gift giving . I guess gift cards are not a good idea anymore for us “elderly “ shoppers . 🤷‍♂️

Opinions are based on store model itself.- Carries Boars Head meats/cheeses and will even make subs for you in-house.- Decent frozen and fresh fish/seafood selection.- Store app works well but doesnt list prices.- BOGOs on products I often buy anyways.My biggest issue is that the produce section is often disappointing. Lettuce/spinach is wilted and beat to hell. Garlic bulbs are 1/3 mushy brown when I use them at home the same day. Shallots only come in little baggies and are also mushy way too often.Freezer section has a good variety of veggies but its Florida! Why not have a better fresh veggies and fruit area??

And I bought a box of cooked chicken from the deli to go with the other items that were prepared at home. The store was very clean and all the shelves were stocked like they always are. Only one person ahead of me in the checkout line. The cashier and the young lady bagging the groceries were very friendly and smiling as they assisted me. Great experience today. Comment: I was hesitant shopping at the Leesburg Publix but it was on my way home from an appointment and I believe in saving gas. It had been 2 months since I had last did a big shop too. When I was done and went towards the registers, they were 3 maybe 4 open with barely any line. Of course its 4 pm on a Wednesday. Anyways, the man who checked me out was very friendly and asked him my day was going etc. Then a gentleman who was bagging my groceries, Gary walked out with me to help me load over 300 bucks worth of food and stuff. He was very nice as well and I wanted to tip him a 5 for helping me. He didnt want to take it and I looked at him and told him that its a gift because I know its hot out and what he does is hard, especially for an elder man. His smile warmed my heart, he said thank you and then I went home to get my stuff put away. As I was unpacking all these bags I noticed what a great job Gary did packing all my stuff in the correct way. Cold with cold, frozen with frozen etc. I was very happy with the experience and the proficiently that the Publix employees should me. Thank you for Publix!

Comment: The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. I never enjoy a shopping experience more than at a Publix. This store management team goes out of the way to get in the products Im looking for and begin carrying them without making me buy a whole case.Publix produce is unparalleled and this store does a good job of keeping it rotated. I love the kids snack spot. Fruits like banana, orange and apples that are a bit bruised, but still good are offered to kids free to help keep the hungry tantrums at bay.The store is always clean even in the middle of the evening rush and near the end of the day. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. If you see it is out of something a mention to an employee and they fix it quickly.The average prices are often higher than a Walmart, but comparable to other stores. I usually stick to mostly to the sales to make my meal plan.

Comment: I LOVE Publix. They are a bit on the pricey side (for us, anyway) but they have the best meats, produce, deli, etc. And the employees are always ready to help with a friendly smile. Publix must be a great company to work for. I have never seen an employee there that wasnt happy. And the store is immaculately clean! We go there for most of our needs. ❤

Comment: I’ve been going to this store for over 40 years. I and my family have been treated with kindness, respect, and sincere generous offers to help at all times. I stopped at the Okahumpka Publix one afternoon. The employees spoke to each other, but not to me. I had to bag my own items. Two cashiers stopped their conversation and noticed me bagging, one offered to help, but my cashier said “we’re not allowed the bag for each other.” It made me appreciate Leesburg Publix even that much more. Thank you.

Comment: This is my new neighborhood Publix. Just like most Publixs it like a well maintaned machine. Clean and well stocked. The employees were helpful and friendly. I didnt get his name but a guy helped me find wings he had glasses on about 40ish? I think he was changing price tags?? He couldnt find what I wanted so he brought me over to John in the meat department. John came out of the back and walked me over right to the wings. Very helpful and much appreicated for both of their efforts. The produce and meat departments out shine many grocery stores anywhere in America.

Comment: This Publix is centrally located and well-stocked. I usually get my groceries at Walmart, but when I need something quick or specialty, Ill drop by. The Pub subs are of course delicious and filling, though it takes quite a while to get one usually, at least ten minutes. Its worth the wait. Their selection of specialty meats, cheeses, and produce means I need to drop by pretty frequently.

Comment: Went in tonight looking for a specific season packet and could not find it. Asked a very nice Publix employee named Ralph and he left his aisle to help me and then Katie came up to help me. Not only do they search the entire area they also went online and apologize profusely when they could not find it. Then Ralph went all the way across the store to bring me the packet I was looking for when they found it hidden behind another box. You may pay a little bit more than other places if its not on sale but you definitely get the customer service and it is totally worth it. Thank you Ralph and Katie for a very pleasurable shopping experience at my favorite Publix.

Comment: I love this Publix because it has been my neighborhood store for almost 15 years. The employees and customer service are wonderful. However, because there are so many new residents in the area, the store is always crowded and stock is constantly being depleted. Lately, when I see that the parking lot is full, I drive to one of the other Publix stores which are about 25 minutes away in either direction.

Comment: The pharmacy here is excellent!!! They are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The store is bright and clean. The deli is usually busy but its always service with a smile. The customer service area is a bit lacking. Ive ordered several items that Ive requested and theyve taken my info to contact me and they never have so I go to another store to purchase these items. It isnt well stocked and when they run out of an item thats on sale they no longer give rain checks. The meat department is helpful when you can get someones attention. The cashiers are smiling, helpful and friendly. There are always plenty of sanitized carts available.

Comment: Store was clean and the reason I went there was for a deli sub. The sub was excellent. This review is written in the time of quarantine with mandatary masks being required for some counties. Employees were wearing masks and signs encouraged guests to wear them but were not mandated as orange country locations do currently. I do not believe that Lake is under the same mandate at the time of my visit.

Comment: We love our local publix. Emily and her customer service team were soo helpful today. In the mornings my 3 year old loves to run into one of the employees upfront. I forgot his name at the moment (hes deaf). He always waves at us and interacts with us. He always gives fist bumps and high fives to my 3 year old. My son says he is his buddy. Its so sweet. He a very nice man and always has a smile on his face and brings a smile to our faces. The cashiers are always quick to offer my son a sticker and/ or a balloon. He loves visiting publix.

Comment: This is a nice Publix store with a nice selection. Its not an enormous store, but certainly has a large selection.The deli service is quick, as is the bakery. It was well stocked and darn near everything seemed to be a BOGO item. I saved a ton of money.It was nice seeing that they support a local winery by carrying Island Grove wines.It is a clean store with enough folks working there to get you in and out quickly.

Comment: I walked into Publix Pharmacy at 8:20 p.m. I had 4 prescriptions to fill. Knowing they close at 9 p.m. I expected to be told, You can pick these up tomorrow. Instead, the young man smiled at me and said, We can have these ready for you in 30 minutes. I actually picked up my prescriptions in less than 15 minutes! Thank you Publix Pharmacy for your ALWAYS excellent customer service! I LUV MY PUBLIX! 🤗
