Comment: Bobby at Publix in Longboat Key made us first timers felt so welcomed! We have visited Holmes Beach the past couple of years but decided to switch it up and give Longboat Key a try! So glad we did! The Store was so clean, well stocked and when we couldn’t find the smoked goda Mac n cheese Bobby went and got us some from the deli! Now that’s top notch service! Comment: This is a really big store on Longboat Key adjacent to Bay Isles. Very busy this time of year. Great pharmacy (but some prescription drugs are Chinese). Really nice deli with great selections of meats and cheese. Very good selection of fresh breads and rolls in bakery. The fresh vegetable and fruit selection is extensive. Meat selection is good but not fantastic, but butchers are very helpful and will cut what you want. The only disappointment with this store is the seafood department. Much of the seafood is previously frozen and not fresh although lobsters are live when they have them. Seafood is also expensive here. I shop here all of the time and like this store better than the one across the bridge on 41.

Need someone on the till by the coffee area all the time. We witnessed several cups of coffee, cold drinks and condiments going straight out of the door! Very surprising considering its an upmarket area. We were on holiday from the UK, not something we are used to seeing!

Comment: They deserve 5 stars but I had a difficult time rating a grocery store too high. Overall everything was decent, with very fair pricing for an island store. They had salad bar plus hot foods and beach items if you forgot to bring anything on your vacation, and all of the locals shop here.

Comment: The pharmacists & staff are extremely efficient & friendly. Just watching them give COVID shots while they hustle to get every customers orders complete every time as promised is amazing. Every employee in the store that I have seen is committed to being friendly & efficient and everything in the store from produce to meats & fish is always clean & the presentation is wonderful. The leadership of this fine company really gets it & they should be so proud especially with the physically challenged and multi generational employees they employ. This is one impressive company culture.

Comment: A spacious, well laid out grocery store. Brightly lit, clean, very organized, great product selection, with friendly and helpful staff. Very good selection of prepared foods, deli, bakery, wine, fresh seafood and an array of cheeses. Floral arrangements and bouquets, beach wear and accessories, seasonal supplies and decor, LBK souvenirs. Order platters and baked goods for any type of occasion. Delivery, in-store or curbside pick up, and in store shopping. Masking is optional for customers. Cleaning wipes available at entrance and exit. Lots of parking, bicycle rack, Publix Liquors is immediately next door.

Comment: I places an order for pick up at 1:10pm and at 1:20pm order was not ready and incorrect. I spoke to a lady who was having a bad day, and attitude. I went to cancel my order and this other employee was so sweet, and offered to help. I let her help, and she completely made my day. Made my order and was super positive the whole time. Tiffany made my day and super grateful for her being in the deli today.

Comment: Nice clean store with quality products. Sadly Publix runs the gamut in this part of Florida with little competition. The area needs more upscale grocery stores. That being said the store is full of upscale and high quality products. Having a onsite grill would be both beneficial to the store and customers. Many upscale stores in other states, grill steaks, chicken and other meats for customers.Most of the staff at this location are polite and pleasant. The deli counter staff is another story. Some and I stress only some have attitudes. However we must remember we are in Longboat Key. Dealing with LBK residents has to be a complete nightmare. LBK residents have incredibly bad attitudes towards those they feel are there solely to serve them. They often treat people like servants that are beneath them. These people feel entitled and are very demanding, rude and extremely arrogant. So I always cut some slack to service workers in LBK. Remember when dealing with any LBK service employee, they have to deal with these people day in and day out.

Comment: Went in the other day looking for sandwhiches and when I told William, behind the deli counter what I wanted, he said “are you sure?, have you tried...?” Now I wasn’t sure and I definitely wanted to try “x, y, and z”. He gave me two or three suggestions to try and they were amazing. He knows his stuff and since he wasn’t super busy took the time to enlighten me a bit as to some of the possibilities. He’s fantastic and definitely worth the wait if you are looking to try something new.

It’s a little difficult to maneuver your way into the parking lot the first couple of times but once you get the hang of entering this hidden location, you’ll be just fine. It’s set a little off the path on Longboat Key. But once you get there, you’re golden.

They make the best Italian hoagies on the island and as far as the fish counter goes, Ive never been disappointed both in the quality of their seafood and their service. Comment: What a nice store! The staff is soooo nice and helpful. They will do anything for you. The baggers will take your groceries to your vehicle and they are NOT allowed to accept tips. The meat and seafood is so fresh and good, I just love coming here. The Publix in Sarasota OFF the island is a bit cheaper, however you are burning the extra gas to get there. People at that store are just as wonderful.
