Comment: Let me just say that Publix has always been my favorite place to shop for food well before I could even afford to buy my own food as a little kid, I couldnt wait to go shopping with my mom just so I could get a Publix sub ☺️. But years passed, and I moved, living too far from Publix, having to shop at places like Hitchcocks and Wal-Mart. Im not saying they arent good. Publix is just good quality through and through. And well jumping ahead, I now live next to Steeplechase Publix Super Market, and every time I go in, I feel like Im at Disneyland. From the kind and personable employees to the warm, inviting fresh bakery. I dont care if Im going in for a gallon of milk only. I leave this store feeling better about shopping with them every single time. They are the best! And the reason why I continue to keep coming back. I call them my Publix. 💚

Some prices are a hair higher then a few of thier competitors, but every bit worth it for the great atmosphere and pleasant employees. And I love their canoli.

Comment: Ive been shopping this Publix for six years. Although the neighborhood is growing and the store seems more crowded, the employees here are always exceptionally friendly and helpful. They have my favorite unique items, plus everything is fresh and well stocked. While most Publix are clean, friendly and well stocked this Publix (my home store) always takes it to the next level. Highly recommended.

Comment: Just by shopping for sales and bogos and utilizing my freezers I get a lot of my groceries here.But......They have gone through some management changes,, and service has gone from great to lousy. For example I was at the deli, next up. The guy asked me to give him a minute, then him and another guy were looking at meat under the counter. After that he just walked away and never came back. I was still waiting, and three guys were talking right next to me behind the counter. They just blew me off.Very bad encounter.

Comment: Wow at the options back at the deli. Had the best chicken tender sub. Yummy. You have to try it with garlic parmesan and a little buffalo sauce. Its totally to die for. Goes great with the potato wedges. Save if course they have anything else you need.😇🦋

Comment: Publix where shopping is a pleasure this one is just like every other one except its tucked away in a really busy intersection that just has every single thing you could possibly want and about a quarter of a mile square lol The reason it at four stars instead of five is also the same reason theres just a lot of action up in there hard to get in and out quickly but like I say that whole area doesnt stop

Comment: The only Publix in the Jonesville/Newberry area, but one of the best Ive been in. At this location, they take the local grocer moniker to heart, and after a few trips I had employees asking about my family and remembering past visits.The Deli is , in my most humble opinion, the best of all the Publix Ive visited, and Ill freely admit thats been almost all of them from Orlando to Jacksonville.The Bakery has, on several occasions, made special orders for me to procure items that werent available staples in the region.The downside, if there just has to be one, is that this location can get a bit crowded since, as stated, it is the only Publix in the area. However, to managements credit, Ive never seen them understaffed and the checkout lanes move swiftly.

Comment: Publix is always the best place to grab a great sandwich or wrap. I got Boars Head Pineapple Smoked Turkey and it was AMAZING even though the bread was a bit over baked. I also got seasoned potato wedges and sweet potato wedges, both of those were . . . less than stellar, but Im sure theyll be fantastic when repurchased with tomorrows breakfast.

Comment: Staff is very good and friendly. I dont like the new layout of the stores, but Ill get over it. Why dont supermarkets have the produce as the last department? Most are soft, light weight, easily dented items which should be on top of the cart. Having produce first leads to them early in the cart and having to be constantly moved around. Same goes for 🍞. 😄

Comment: The staff here is great. I give them all gold stars.The store however, is typical for the area. This isnt the wealthy part of town and sometimes it feels like the meat and veggie selections reflect this.I get it, its a rural area and you have to sell what you know you can move, but there are people in the area that would like at least a few options besides having to go to Whole Foods.No matter the cut or price point of steak at this location, I guarantee you will be bummed. There are not as many allergy friendly foods at this location either, which makes it hard to get all your grocery items in one trip. I know Publix carries what I need because I can usually get it on instacart (I think they use the Alachua location)As far as produce, I have never found a Publix that had great produce. I know, seriously, I dont get it either. Publix is the Florida gold standard, but they have always had meh produce. I can tell you, without looking, at any given time:Bags of fresh green beans sealed, that are all wet and slimy inside.Berries almost always are bad. Check the bottom to see if any are wearing fur coats. Dont even bother with fresh figs, they will be rotted by the time you unpack your car.Zucchini, 3 to a sealed package. At least one is dented and unusable.Potatoes. Oh man. So many green potatoes. Yall know those are toxic right? You cant cook the toxin away with green potatoes. You just dont eat them. Ask your grandfather of you dont believe me!And if course, since its a grocery store, it really all depends on the season.All of these problems are pretty typical of higher end grocers located in lower end communities where they have to please everyone. I think they do their best considering.I also would like to go back to the staff being amazing because they really are. Go up to any of them and they are so helpful and sweet. The cashiers are always friendly and I usually leave here feeling good.I hope this review is helpful. I grew up working on my grandfathers organic farm and maybe Im just picky. Comment: Publix no matter where you go has to be the leader when it comes to customers. That is why people go there and why they have in there add where shopping is a pleasure. I can go into Walmart and get stuff and take forever to check out. This isnt to mention over half the employees look like they hate working there. There really is no customer service. I am not saying everyone at publix looks happy but I have worked there and I would work there agian. There benefits are decent and not sure I can say that for Walmart. I did work for Walmart for a bit too and I wasnt nearly as satisfied with that work as publix.Now as for prices yes publix can be high for things but if you shop the deals I dont feel your paying that much more then going to any other place and you can make meals just shopping sales.Obviously these are my opinions and you may have your own but for me I enjoy publix. Also its best shopping when not as many customers.And just and added bit of info I have done insta cart also with them and that is great. Pick online what you want drive up and its brought right to you. I just hope the publix closest to me starts doing it.

Comment: Came in for lunch from job site We were going for subs but saw wings and changed our mind. Loved they had hot sauce right near by and chilled. Thought u was grabbing regular Crystal hot sauce ended up with garlic. Delicious mistake @CRYSTALHOTSAUCE Only reason 4 and not 3 because Crystal Hot Sauce saved it. Wings were cold so little unhappy.

They even catch and scan the coupons in the flyer for me if they notice a deal Im missing. No way Id ever get out of there with a cracked egg or damaged good. They catch it, and someone runs to get a replacement for me. Wonderful place.

Comment: Very friendly & helpful staff, clean & well lit; my only complaint I that they were out of some sale items, and during the covad-19 virus restrictions they dont issue rain checks. At best, I shop once per two weeks; now, if I want the sale items I need to make an extra trip. With a rain check I could wait till my next regular visit.

Love that they added the ability to pay using their app and your smartphone. Comment: When going into Publix I noticed how clean and shiny the store is. When shopping at Publix some prices are more expensive than other stores but you are paying for quality. Their ice tea is the very best in my opinion. You can buy iced tea by a single servings, quart size and by ther gallon. They have fried chicken and they certainly sell quite alot. Publix deli sells excellent lunchmeats and Ive always enjoyed the fresh flavor.Publix has very flavorful cakes, cookies and cupcakes. They do make cakes for whatever occasion you want. If you have a certain design they try to make it.As you can see i really like Publix Supermarket for many reasons more than Ive mentioned.

Comment: As always the store was neat and clean. Employees were very helpful. You could see the effect of hurricane Irma by the low amount of stock. Jessica in the deli has made many of my sandwiches and does a great job every time, as well as this time! She is very sweet as well!!On a side note, I miss the Cumberland gap ham that you used to carry.I love Publix! Wish there was one in the Chiefland area!! I drive an hour (one way) to shop with you all!!
