Comment: First let me say I hate going to Publix hungry!!!We are weekly shoppers and have changed our normal day from monday to Wednesday because its SUSHI day and their Sushi is absolutely delicious. Between the deli and the bakery Im sure we spend an extra $50 bucks not including our weekly supply of grocery. This Publix is 2.2 miles from our home and on shopping day Im like a kid who cant wait to get into the store. Big thank you to those working at this Publix making it the best place to shop in Ormond Beach!!!

I have to say I have been there thousands of times and so my review is based on overall experiences.The one consistent problem this store has, is the pub sub area. I often order sandwiches ahead of time because when I go, I know the lines will be long. I order online well in advance, to allow reasonable preparations. I cannot remember a time that my sandwiches were ready on time. I even try to go in 5 min later and somehow I still have to hunt the sandwiches down. Tonight did not change that. The orders were wrong (nothing major, but still not correct), late and the staff is full of excuses about being short staffed. I get it. Sometimes staffing is beyond our control, but making excuses is not what the consumer wants to hear. It would have been ideal to have a manager step in to help knowing that they were backed up. In addition, it would be nice if there was a friendly face that simply says, “I apologize for your wait.” And not just a quick toss of the sandwiches and no eye contact.Overall, the store conveniently located and serves the purpose of a grocery store. The sandwich area could really use some help for sure.

If you have the money, I would definitely recommend shopping here. Publix seems to have always been a bit pricier than the competition. Although there are stores that are more expensive to shop at. You can also find good deals on items that make it worth going to regardless.

Comment: I like this store but dont go right before closing, I dont know if this guy was a manager or not but I am an instacart shopper and I dont pick what time the app sends me to the store and it was about 15 mins till closing and I received an order by the time I was finishing up it was closing time this guy helped get a couple items but the last one her was in such a hurry he found the wrong one and just took my cart from me and ran it up to the check out so when I was still looking for the item he didnt do right he was upset with me! I always make sure I have the right items on my orders beside if it isnt correct when I scan it into my phone it wont except it. So I was highly upset with this whole situation. I understand I was there at closing but I had a job to do also and it needed to be done right and the publix man did not need to be disrespectful to me. That was not the publix way. 😕

Comment: I always head to Publix when I am going to buy a nice steak, they have the best red meat, hands down...just an opinion of course. When I visited the Trails Publix, I found it was a step above other Publix stores I have visited in the Daytona Beach area. Im sure its due to the fact that the store is located in one of the more affluent parts of town. That being said, I only noticed prices on a few items were a little higher than the average Publix. Id definitely drive an extra mile or two to shop at this Publix!

Comment: I know a few who really hate the layout of this store but it makes sense to me. Always a good selection that is well stocked, quick checkout even if there is a rush. There is a second floor dining area which offers a somewhat surreal experience of eating in the rafters of the building. Its my home store and I have no reason to go elsewhere unless something specific is out of stock. Lots of other good restaurants and stores in this plaza too!

Arent BOGOS just great, just like the management here, along with an astounding young man who was meticulous in making sure the floors were really clean in all the aisles, in particular around 130pm ! Comment: This is the store I shop at regularly, and I have to give kudos to all team members that helped have that store open and functional two days after Tropical Storm Ian. An unanticipated power outage required that a substantial amount of inventory had to be discarded, but within 24 hours, lights were on, new merchandise that had been trucked in was quickly hitting the shelves. The staff was busy, competent, and still as cheerful as ever. I imagine that extra assistance had been sent over and our heartfelt thanks to all of you for making a bad situation much more tolerable.

Comment: I came in to this Publix in the trails on a whim to get something to eat for my lunch break and on my way out I saw a vending machine with my absolute favorite flavor of energy drink inside of it Reign Lemon HDZ flavor. Now I cannot find this flavor any where south of Virgina/Northern North Carolina. I had been looking in every gas station and even tried to order it online with no luck other than private sellers trying to sell this flavor for 35$ a can.So as you can imagine I was extremely excited to see it ! I ran back inside to get cash back ready to buy every can in the machine only to see a scrolling message that said no sales available so close and at the same time inaccessible.I had come back in every day since that first Monday hoping the vending machine service provider might come in and fix the machine and I can finally get my hands on that flavor.For a whole week I was met with the same disappointing message no sales available and with Publix managers going on their lunch break I had no way of talking to anyone that might of had the ability to help me.I came in again today on Friday after 5 days of coming back to try and get this drink only to be met with the same message I had grown to hate, I walked into Publix ready to just get something for lunch and head back to work when I spotted 2 managers off to the side one of them whos name was Brent the other managers name I couldnt remember but she was just as amazing.I approached them knowing that coke is an independent vendor and most places have no control or ability to access the product.I quickly explained my situation with just the hopes of them maybe being able to get a hold of someone to service the vending machine so I could come back in on my lunch the next Monday and be able to buy the drinks I wanted so bad.Both managers went above and beyond and were able to open the vending machine for me so I could buy them!!I was absolutely beyond ecstatic and it turned a very bad start to my day completely around and I just wanted to say how amazing this Publix is and all of their kind staff who tried their best to help me!And to make a wonderful surprise even better they informed me that I could place a special order and they might be able to order me a whole case to come pick up at the store !Both managers went above and beyond and completely made my day and I would 10/10 recommend this Publix over any of the others in my county !Thank you again so much!

The employees are all courteous and friendly with an honest effort to help you when needed. I try to make it my 1 stop shopping place. Could take time to go elsewhere too, but why stress myself. Comment: This Publix is one of my favorites to go to. Its in the Trails in the nice plaza there. They recently remodeled the store and incorporated a few extras that make it more unique among the other publixes. This one in particular has a ramen stand there right by the sushi. It is a great meal, and they have enough variation to keep you coming back for more. The staff is very nice and polite, if you truly look like you need help, they will ask if you need anything. That is usually customary, but they also wont try to bother you if you look like you know what you are after. I purchase a lot of meat from publix and they typically have a lot of good sales. The fish section is great and you can always get some good information from the gentleman who works that department. I feel bad sometimes because I really only go there to look at whats available. I buy my grilling supplies from there. They have a good selection of lighters, coal, and fire starters, but thats moreso for publix in general, instead of this store specifically. Anyway, if you are in the neighborhood, I would recommend making this your place to shop for groceries normally.

Comment: Two story grocery store with a sit down location on the 2nd floor, while you wait 25-40 minutes to get your submarine sandwich created, even though no one is in line, due to all their phone requests that are ahead of you. Two people were working there.The rest of the store, seems as large as a small Home Depot. Seems almost luxurious. Prices seem to be a little lower than a nearby Winn Dixie.Employees were eager to help you find something, by walking you directly to the product. I appreciated that one employee admitted he didnt know. But took the time to look on his cellular device and together we located it - successfully.Upon leaving, the bagger offered to take our groceries to our car.

Comment: One of Publix newest grocery stores in our area. I love the deli layout. Lots of wonderful items including spinach and tomato quiche, one of my favorites. Love the choices in produce. I recently found out that I could make my own small bag of grapes instead of buying the large one displayed. All I needed to do was ask but I never had until now. If you want more choices but in smaller quantities, check with the produce people.Check out the other aisles to see more wonderful choices available in a new store.

Comment: The store is well structured in its layout, and has some features which set it apart from other stores in the region. My previous local Publix in New Smyrna, for example, folded the bakery in with the deli, produce and ready-to-rock quick grabs. In this Publix, the Bakery is across the store. I’ll be honest— the carbs being way over there helps my “disciprine!” Lol. They also have a neat up high sitting area, and a reliable supply of Bang Energy. Alcohol is competitively priced for the area.Overall the store is clean, and the aisle content is laid out intuitively. It surely helps to walk everything once or twice a week so as not to miss promotional pricing; that discount this week might introduce you to a new favorite! One axe I always grind as a fussy sushi eater is the prevalence of so much mayo and aioli type stuff on rolls. That is a thing here too. To be fair many customers like it. I miss ready-to-go unagi with avocado, and eel sauce garnished with sesame. Best! Perhaps they’ll make it if you want it, but used to be, they’d always have a couple ready.All in all, the consistent quality that sets Publix apart from competitors is here. For everything but staples, Publix is my happy place!

Comment: Update: Publix customer service reached out in reference to my previous review and the pharmacy contacted Good Rx about the pricing differences. They refunded most of the difference and it looks like there is only one way to secure the coupon price or to know the price you will pay. Ask the Publix pharmacy to call Good Rx while you are there and secure the price youll pay. That way there will be no surprise when you come back to pick up your prescription. I commend Publix for their concern and for working to resolve any future issues.Publix pharmacy does not honor Good Rx pricing. This is the second time, with a different Publix pharmacy, we were charged over ten dollars more (about 25% over each time) than the Good Rx coupon stated. The first time we were told the Good Rx price had changed, but checking the web site right afterwards it hadnt. The second time, different store, we were told it doesnt matter what the Good Rx coupon says, Publix will charge what they want to. Of course this is after we were told theyd honor the coupon.
