Comment: Detra, the Deli Mgr, saved Thanksgiving. My family and I will forever be grateful. Due to a silly communication error our regular order didnt get placed. I thought he did it, he thought I did and really nobody did it. So were on the scramble on Wed night at 9pm. Im prepared to bury my head under many pillows until after Christmas when Detra came to the rescue. After discovering they were (of course) sold out, she literally ran to the back and hunted down each part of our Holiday meal. Every one knows that Publix has amazing customer service and now I know that this Publix also has at least one Angel. Thank you Detra for saving Thanksgiving!!!

Comment: I always hit the bakery and deli first. Best in town. The other supermarkets try to copy their baked goods but never as good. My go-to grocery store. Can find most everything I need. Only place I enjoy shopping even more is Longboat Key Publix on Gullf of Mexico Drive..Same great deli and hoagies and even better bakery than typical Publix. Thats cause the tourists and rich folk shop there, they have more high end items as well, e.g. file mignon prepared fresh dinner with roasted potatoes and veg or dinners for one like chicken cordon Bleu or pork loin stuffed with asparagus and cheese served with baked sweet potato.

Comment: So 3weeks ago I called and ordered a cake by phone through the bakery.. get here today. On time, the cake was not made and they said they never received an order. An i am 100% sure I called the right store even 1000%. The cake I ordered was the Minecraft and it needs a 24hr advance notice. So as you can guess I was worried but the bakery manager apologized and talked to his team and got that cake made in 30mins. I was worried and even cried a little because I didn’t think it would be any good rushed. Well 30 mins were up. Got the cake and it looked amazing then got home everything was still great nothing fell off or was wrong and the best part it tasted AMAZING. Publix still came through. Thank you so much. Much love from this mama because what is a party without a cake, right. You made the impossible, possible and didn’t just say well we’re sorry, can’t help you. You did something and the Bakery Manager made it happen. Thank you Sir.

Comment: Usually great. Yesterday, the short older woman making sandwiches really decimated my chicken tender sub. She chose the smallest piece of bread, then only used 3 tenders on the whole thing, then put the cheese on top. Asked her to put the cheese inside and she nearly lost her mind about company policy and how she has been doing this for 20 years and everyone does this when it has literally never happened before and we order subs all the time. She smashed the chicken back into the sandwich and pushed it down with excessive force making the bread almost non-existent and she smirked and with glee said its just SO much chicken. It wasnt. Our second sub was boars head turkey, and it did NOT taste like boars head, it was suspiciously flavorless like Publix brand(no offense). Im irked about paying $10 for a chicken tender sub that was smashed, meager, and my kids had to eat begrudgingly bc it was poorly made and intentionally ruined. Also a bit perturbed about the turkey thing. I really feel like it was a waste of $20. Really this is the ONLY unpleasant experience at this location. Will personally avoid ordering subs if this lady is there. Horrible actions on her part. Not at all how we expect Publix employees to act, especially someone the claims to be doing it for 20+ years. Put her in the back not dealing with customers please. Everyone else is great.

Comment: A Friday night, and picking up groceries for the weekend, and items to prepare a supply of green chili stew for the holidays. For fresh veggies, I always shop at Publix; in my opinion they have the very best.Also pulling a double duty tonight; groceries, and getting my covid-19 booster shot, already had the other, a few months ago.The good thing about Publix is you can get just about anything you need the keep healthy. I love shopping at Publix!

Comment: Today we went to get our Moderna vaccine booster shot. We made an appointment online.As we entered Publix, there was a table and 2 chairs with a sign saying Vaccine Check-in. An employee immediately came over to check us in, verify ID and our vaccine card and hand us a simple form to complete. Once completed (2 mins) she checked the forms and pleasantly sent us to the pharmacy to our right. We checked in there, signed the card machine, electronically verifying who we were and within a few minutes, the pharmacist came over and administered the vaccine. He was very good, pleasant and the shot did not hurt.All said, a very pleasant experience.

Comment: I love this Publix!! It is has a huge selection of groceries. Staff is friendly and check out is quick. I love the sushi selection - they always have great deals. Parking is huge, but gills up on weekends.

Comment: Very strong customer service! Time and time again, customer service seems to be the high end point of this particular Publix! ( not the one by the beachfront... not that one. ). Today, David the manager took over to me a bag of groceries that was left at the cashier. He just drove to my house and handed it! Anyone else has heard of better customer service? ;-) I was so happy 😀

Comment: The Westgate Publix is clean and has a great selection; best of all, friendly and efficient cashiers and baggers, unlike some Publix stores which are mostly self checkout and bag it yourself. Publix has been known for decades for great customer service and the installation of self scanners is very disappointing. I no longer shop at my nearest Publix.

Comment: This is where I do all of my general shopping and I love it here. All of the employees are wonderful. I would like to especially point out their pharmacy. All of the pharmacy staff are amazing. I will just walk by to do other shopping and they will call me out by name to let me know my wife has a prescription ready. They go so far above and beyond their job to make sure you are taken care of.
