Comment: We booked The Grand Ol’ Barn in December 2022 and had our wedding on 10/28/23! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and was large enough to host all of our friends and family as we had close to 200 guests. My husband planned our entire wedding from start to finish with assistance from Regan, our wedding coordinator. She made the planning process extremely easy and stress free. Regan helped fill me in a few weeks before the wedding and demonstrated extreme professionalism before, during and after our big day.I was really impressed with Chef Lee, the catering manager. One of our guests had a black pepper allergy and was hand delivered an allergy-friendly meal during the reception. We had 10 tables with 20 guests at each. I can’t imagine it was easy to find her with the chaos however, they made it work and she said it was delicious! We received a lot of compliments on the food and how fast his clean up crew was able to clear the tables.As hiccups are to be expected in every wedding, ours were small and unique to us. I appreciate Regan and Shauna making time to discuss my concerns after the wedding.

Comment: We booked the grand ol barn sight unseen, when we finally got to see the venue for the first time we knew this was the place to be married, I loved the exposed wooden beams & the chandlers in the reception, I loved the history of the building & I loved the location. Ashley b was incredible the entire process leading up to the day, the entire staff were amazing. Our guest loved the food & service. The bridal suite was beautiful & so easy to get ready in especially if you have more than 5 people in your wedding party. I can’t recommend the grand ol barn enough. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience coming from them. I also cant rave enough about my florals.

The venue is beautiful and so many guests commented on not only that, but the ease of attending an event where the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception were in one place.The staff, and especially our coordinator Ashley, were courteous, attentive, and brought every detail of our wedding vision to life.I was prepared for things to go wrong or run late, and thank to the entire GOB team, I can honestly say that I can’t think of one thing I wasn’t happy with or would have changed.One of the first things I said to my husband when we left the event was that if we had to start planning from scratch all over again, I would do everything exactly the same way. I cannot recommend the Grand Ol’ Barn enough.And one last note- my dad cannot stop raving about the men’s bathroom. He said it’s the nicest bathroom he’s ever been in hahaha.Absolutely 5 stars and beyond!

Comment: The Grand Ol’ Barn is amazing! We had such a magical night on July 3, 2023 because of this venue and all of the staff! From when we booked to the night of everyone was so kind and attentive.Our in house planner, Ashley, was able to round up both of our large families to run a rehearsal day of. She also made sure everything ran smoothly and constantly checked in on us throughout the night. We were the third wedding in a row for the venue and I’m sure it was tough to do that, but no one showed it!Many of our family members and friends said they want a wedding like ours, which was such a huge compliment not only for us, but also for the staff and the venue!Okay and don’t even get me started on the mashed potatoes!! We had the cheesy mashed potatoes for our buffet and they were so delicious!If you’re looking for a venue you have to check them out because they are truly amazing and this place is downright gorgeous!

Comment: I chose this venue because it was all indoors. From the ceremony hall, to the cocktail hour, to the reception hall! I was so thankful for that too because boy or boy did it rain! Also, because I had a June wedding it was also hot outside so it felt nice that my guests somewhere cool to sit while they were waiting for the wedding to start. Also, loved that they had an on-site florist! All the flowers were gorgeous!!!

The layout is super well-thought-out, making each part of the wedding flow seamlessly into the next. I appreciated the staff, as they were organized and helpful every step of the way! The bride and groom suites were great sizes and each had character of their own, including the historical artwork and bank safe in the back hallway.The color of the barn makes it stand out, and so pretty to photograph even at a distance! The indoor ceremony was everything we expected and more, the big and spacious reception was also amazing, and the bridal and groom suites were very nice! Our coordinator was super helpful and professional. Shauna, the venue owner, was so sweet and kind to us! The food was DELICIOUS, very, very good, just a tad bit expensive. You must hire their caterer, which they do an amazing job, but it can get expensive with the more guests you have attending. Overall, this venue was beautiful and perfect for my husband and I! We were very pleased!

But once the music started playing for Skip (Groom) to enter, it was GAME ON! We got married on Friday, November 18th 2022, and we are still receiving texts and phone calls about how great the wedding was and how beautiful the wedding was! Shauna, the owner of The Grand Ol’ Barn, is simply amazing and is literally a friend for life. It all started when we came into town for our tasting back in July. We were lost in the parking lot, and Shauna happened to be coming into work and she helped us inside, and that’s where the customer experience started. We truly believe that it all starts with customer service and the customer’s experience. And man did we get that and MORE!! Shauna took the time to share her vision and the reason why she decided to start The Grand Ol’ Barn. We got a taste of the story behind the bull in the groomsmen suite, to the history of the antiques, to the elegance of the reception area, all the way to the indoor swings. Each detail had a unique story behind it. Ashley, Shauna’s sister, assisted my wife with her floral ideas and was very nice and professional. Chef Conway!!!! The food was so great, that we were upset taking pictures with the guest because we wanted to eat more. We had several compliments from our guest about how good the food was. The brisket was sooooooo good. We’d recommend the brisket LOL. Our overall experience was just great that we would love to live that night all over again. Our wedding was outside, and the cocktail hour was inside. For the most part, there was enough room, but we did have a lot of guest attend. Getting married outside was a last-minute decision for us, but it truly worked out great and the weather warmed up for us. Yes, we said warmed up in Florida, we had a cold front come through that weekend lol. If we could give this venue 10 stars we would, but unfortunately, we are only aloud to give 5 stars. Customer service is really big for us and the overall service was just great! We hope that more newly-weds can enjoy their wedding at The Grand Ol’ Barn just as we did!!!- Skip and Moya

Comment: BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!!!This venue is STORYBOOK to say the very least. I happened to stumble upon it in 2020, and exterior appearances can be a bit misleading as it is a big red ol barn. I have attended several events and each of them had been uniquely tailored for their guests. The venue is incredibly spacious and versatile I have seen it staged from simplistic and elegant to boho chic to beyond five stars elegance, (lol if thats even a thing) being an industry person myself I can be overly critical, and I can say with honesty they have the most attentive, personable and talented staff I have ever seen.

Comment: My now husband and I got married on Sunday and it was the most beautiful and perfect day ever! The venue is so gorgeous, we got lots of compliments and comments from our guest. The catering was delicious and had excellent service. The florist and bartender were professional and I highly recommend the month of coordinator. Regan helped us planning the small details prior to the wedding and ensuring the guest knew where to go (and of course the bridal party and ourselves too). She was always checking on us to ensure we had everything we needed. At the venue the bridal suite and grooms room to get ready were well stocked with supplies and items you may need the day of or possibly forgot to bring with you. We loved all the signs and included rentals that came with the venue too. We honestly, dont have anything negative to say about the venue, the staff, catering, floral or the month of coordinator at ALL! Wonderful experience and we cannot thank you enough for helping make our day a dream come true!!

Shauna, Caley & Chef Lee did a great job and have put so much thought and effort to making sure their brides & grooms have everything they need.Planning a wedding in Florida during the summer can be hard due to the heat and rain. I knew from the start I wanted an inside wedding, but finding an all indoor “farmhouse” venue can be hard! The Grand Ol’ Barn had exactly what we were looking for- the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception can all be inside in beautiful spaces. (There is a beautiful outdoor ceremony option as well that we used for pictures!)I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking in and around the Central Florida area.

Chef Lee created the most perfect southern bbq menu for our reception. I asked for the biggest bouquet for myself. Ashley & Lori presented me with an arrangement that was perfect. Caley kept the champagne flowing for my bridesmaids and I the morning of & kept me up to date on the little things as needed. Melinda was my wedding coordinator and felt a sense of relief within our first conversation. This girl knows EXACTLY what she’s doing and she and this team at Grand ol Barn gave me the most perfect wedding a bride could ask for. Shauna was an absolute pleasure and I saw her through the day helping where she was needed and kept things running smoothly. If you’re looking for a perfect venue, this is it. I promise you.

Comment: We had our wedding at the barn in February of 2021. We signed our contract with the barn in February of 2020, before the pandemic hit and also before the barn had much of anything inside. At the time of signing it was simply just dust, boards, and a big vision by Shauna. We trusted Shauna and her desires to make the barn a beautiful masterpiece. While not all of her visions and dreams came true, it was still the most beautiful venue for our wedding. We loved how everything looked and how beautiful the barn turned out being. I will say, the planning process was hard for us with the barn, but I will preface by saying that everything wedding planning was more difficult and stressful for everyone in 2020 because of the pandemic. Please know that I am not about to blame anything on the barn/the staff, and that I would assume that it all is a result of struggles due to the pandemic. We had a hard time with planning for a few reasons:One, when we signed it wasnt all finished, and they had never had a single wedding in the venue before. With the ongoing changes with the state of Florida during the pandemic, some of things in our contract changed and we didnt end up getting some of those things that were originally promised. However, there wasnt anything that we were upset that we were missing, we had everything we wanted in the end and it was great.Two, communication seemingly got more difficult with the barn as we worked our way through the year. I have a feeling that this was 1. due to covid, but 2. due to the fact that they were so extremely busy. We did have to reach out a few times before getting a response, but we eventually got everything communicated. My advice to potential clients would be to be consistent with your communication attempts, try different forms of communication (email, call, text, etc.) and follow up! Dont become frustrated with the staff due to poor communication, there are hundreds of clients and only a few people to answer questions so give them some time to respond!Three, there were more fees in the end than we anticipated (but nothing in life comes free!) We wanted to ensure we had a COVID friendly wedding so we wanted to ensure there was proper spacing for our guests in the ceremony. We decided to use the Reception hall for our ceremony which required a flip fee that we were unaware of. It made sense in the end because they do include one set up and one tear down for each event, but our event required their staff to flip the room between the ceremony and reception, but also required their staff to stay there during the event to do so. It ended up being great, their staff was efficient and I think it maybe too 10 minutes for them to do!Four, we did have to shift things forward because the hours we got to venue changed. We had our wedding on a Sunday and initially we had the venue from 11am-11pm, with the understanding that 11pm meant the doors were locked and all our stuff was out so the cleaning crew could come in. This changed a few times in our planning process. The first time it changed, the barn was so gracious to allow for us to come in at 9am instead of 11am to allow for more time to get ready. The second time, our end time changed from 11pm to 10pm. Not a huge difference but our vendors required a specific amount of time to tear down so things got tricky with that. After taking it over with Shauna, we understood the reasoning. The city of New Smyrna and the surrounding neighborhood has still not fully adjusted to the barns presence as a wedding venue and has been very strict on them about curfew times/quiet hours. This all made sense to us and we were able to adjust accordingly and our guests enjoyed the evening just the same.We appreciate Shauna and her staffs willingness to go above and beyond to meet our needs and make our day as beautiful as possible. Please dont think that any of my comments/review items were made to deter anyone from choosing this beautiful venue. If anything, I hope it makes you want it more because their service was excellent. Comment: My husband and I recently got married at the GOB and our wedding day was a dream. We booked back in December of 2019 when the barn was just bare wood and Shauna walked us through the space and explained her vision once complete - and I will say she has outdone herself. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. My bridesmaids told me multiple times how beautiful the whole space was, from the bridal suite, to the history wall to the outdoor ceremony. I also had many guests come up to me during the reception and say how much they were enjoying the venue and how stunning the design was. Caley was very helpful in setting up our design for the day and we are so grateful for her honesty (on multiple occasions we posed the question if this was your wedding, what would you do) and she gave us honest feedback with no pressure. There were so many wonderful amenities/signs/decor that were included with the GOB and we are so grateful as it made our planning and cost much less stressful. Ashley designed the eucalyptus runners on our reception tables and we were so pleased! They were prefect! Would definitely recommend to any brides looking for a venue in the NSB area. Comment: Wedding Savers! My original venue cancelled two months before our wedding date. The Grand Ol Barn was my first tour after that heartbreaking news. I fell in love with the venue and staff immediately. As fate would have it, our original date became available, and we immediately booked. Caley and Shauna made wedding planning in a pinch effortless and easy. They were very responsive and understanding to my needs. Caleys expertise in the wedding sphere was quite helpful in planning a wedding in just six weeks. Wedding wedding during covid was difficult but our wedding turned out perfect! We were the venues third wedding, and we could not have been happier with our choice. My daughters vision was truly brought to life in front of our eyes. Ashleys flowers where beyond beautiful. Shauna and Caley are amazing and eager to make your day special. The Barn itself is a beautiful space. Every single detail is just stunning. The bridal suit is amazing. Just a beautiful space to spend the day getting ready and relaxing with your bridesmaids. I was reluctant but my daughter (bride to be) trusted Shauna from that first tour and we booked it.So glad we did! My daughter got married Oct 24th and what a beautiful wedding it was. We were able to have the outside wedding she always wanted. Then have a cocktail party inside before opening the beautiful barn doors into the reception area.We got so many compliments all night from our guest who loved the venue. So beautiful!From the venue, to the decorations, to the flowers, we are so thankful for all they did for us in making her dream wedding come true.Shauna, Caley, and Ashely were so easy to work with, answered any questions we had, and were very accommodating. Every single detail was thought out ahead of time. Anything you could possibly need day of was ready and waiting in the bridal sweet. Literally everything. From a stocked shower and disposable razors to extra mascara wands and dry shampoo. They thought through every possible mishap and had us covered before it happened.The place itself is beautiful! You get the feel of a barn with out an aggressive theme that I’ve seen at other similar venues. It leaves space for you to create whatever look you want for your day.Staff was so professional and checked on us multiple times to make sure we didn’t need anything else.I’ve seen some negative reviews on here, but everything mentioned in those has nothing to do with the venue staff. A global pandemic and unresponsive city officials have nothing to do with the professionalism of the venue. Everything that was under their control was handled perfectly. I also had a covid wedding and helped with two other covid weddings, so I’ve seen my share of venue and vendor changes in the last few months. Everything that I’ve seen in the complaints here is pretty standard protocol for adjusting in a pandemic and can’t be held against them moving forward. Literally every other venue I’ve dealt with had the same policy. The venue staff did everything in their power to ensure that our bride had the day of her dreams and they certainly delivered!

Comment: I was lucky to attend the first ever wedding at this venue, and I can’t stress how beautiful it was. It’s intimate, and yet enough space for people to spread out comfortably. It is very easy to access, and has lots of places outside and inside for gorgeous pictures. The staff was all very sweet, and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff worked like a well oiled machine despite being a newer space. It’s clear they have high standards. Not to mention the bride could not stop complimenting how accommodating the venue was to her. I was thoroughly impressed as a guest, and would recommend to any future bride. Choose this venue!!

I was their first bride and I can confidently say Shauna and Caley are absolute MIRACLE WORKERS! They went above and beyond to provide my husband and I with a perfect wedding. They were flexible with our crazy quirks, patient when we wanted to switch the seating layout last minute, endlessly thorough with all the moving details that accompany a COVID wedding, and incredibly kind with all our difficulties.The venue itself is gorgeous, spacious, and most importantly- fully air conditioned! (Not just portable air conditioning- which I noticed was a fine print problem with other FL venues). Shauna designed the space with weddings in mind so the bridal and groom suite are perfect. There is a separate cocktail/ceremony and reception space and they have all the decorations you could possibly need.I really cannot recommend this venue enough. I’ve had so many of our wedding guests reach out to say it’s the best wedding venue they have ever seen. Brides- definitely go check it out!Note: I see a few negative reviews here and I can assure you these are solely due to COVID delays and things completely out of their control. These girls worked endlessly to get all the certificates and paperwork in order during one of the most difficult times in history for wedding venues. Comment: Back when The Grand Ole Barn was under construction I had taken a look at it for my daughter since she is living out of the country. When we went to look at it my daughter decided to hold off and have us look at it again after construction was finished. Well due to Covid everything has been halted.I have read the one star Reviews and am disappointed at the unfair attacks that have been made it seems several from one particular wedding party.Something to think about:1. Who in the heck would be so non-flexible or for that matter keep a date during such uncertain times since this is a virus that is rampant worldwide and we are still trying to understand. I am a healthcare provider and why would you even continue to even be so insistent on not moving the date. You were putting people at risk. I can go on with what me and my friends are hearing and seeing within the healthcare arena but that is another subject.2. When we told Shauna we were looking at other venues and we wanted to come back when construction was done NEVER did she EVER pressure us to put a deposit down or anything of the sort! And I have been pressured from another venue. She was very pleasant, cordial and professional. As a matter of fact, my husband has been to a couple of venues with me and he said that she was his favorite person by far we have dealt with at any of the venues!3. And how dare 1 party put several horrible reviews out there from only what they were told. There are two sides to a story and it sounds like this family was difficult to work with! How dare you try to ruin a reputation of a new business just opening up by doing multiple one star reviews from one party when you haven’t even looked at the whole picture. Ummmm we have a pandemic. So disappointed at these types of individuals. Unrealistic behaviors and expectations! I cant believe people would stoop down so low to ruin a name of others because a wedding had to be canceled due to a pandemic and state orders! People are selfish and karma will get the best of them.I looked at other venues they were extremely expensive and could not accommodate the amount of family and friends we wanted to enjoy our day and everything done was at an upgraded price. When I found the grand ol barn on wedding wire, I knew I had to make it my venue. We set up a day to visit. I went with my future husband, parents and mother in law. We all instantly fell in love! The venue is beautiful. Even in the middle of doing upgrades. They were almost done. Our planned wedding date was booked so we looked into other dates because we would do anything to have this venue! Shauna was so sweet, caring, accommodating, and very well spoken. She also informed us of all contract things. Insurance for cancellations, injury etc. She has been beyond helpful and always answers our messages.We love that everything is included and we love that we have the whole venue for the whole day! We love the bridal suites and we have invisioned our day and cannot wait for it to be here. We are almost at 1 yr till our big day!! Thank you Shauna for making our dream wedding come true!

I would never have booked a venue that was under construction with a near by date, so every update I get and see online is so exciting! Shauna is very responsive and professional! You can tell she really cares about what she does. My heart breaks for any bride that didnt get to have their day due to government safety standards because of COVID. Shauna taught us about wedding insurance and I have recommended it to every bride I know!! 2020 is a crazy year and we never know what to expect! Im on the the instagram page almost everyday!! So far everything we went through in our tour has turned out even better than she could have explained it! You can see her vision has really come to life!
